Honestly, if Qantas suddenly terminated their Emirates partnership, a SYD-SIN-MAN wouldn't be the craziest, out-of-reach routing. However they probably won't terminate such an agreement.

Qantas have recently received approval from the Australian authorities to extend their agreement with Emirates. It now runs until 2028.

Qantas are focusing on non-stop longhaul routes now. The PER-LHR is doing very well, and they will introduce SYD-LHR and MEL-CDG in the next couple of years. They're just waiting for the A350's to arrive. They're considering other non-stop routes in the longer term, such as Athens and New York. I don't think we'll see them at Manchester ever again.

Information is beginning to trickle in for S24 slots, via the MAN departure boards (& SPD Travels on X)

Juneyao once again hold slots for Shanghai.

Mon/Wed/Fri, 1045d with B789

PIA hold Islamabad.

Mon/Wed/Sat, 21:00 departure

Thank you for that. Do we assume there are no slots for Air India or has that information not come through yet, one way or the other?

Not showing currently however I believe the same slots are held as were in Winter - 4 weekly BOM.

This one may be of interest though:

Amritsar - Spicejet

No indication as to if/where the stopover is;

11:05 Thu/Fri SG5085

Expected to use wet leased A340s from Legend Aviation of Romania if this launches.

Cairo with EgyptAir is now showing 6 weekly. Was launched at 5 in JUL23, and has recently seen a permanent upgauge from 738 to A21N. A nice top-up.

And as soon as I can't edit the original message, I'm told the info for Air India by the reliable SPD.

DAILY Mumbai with B787-8. 18:10a/1940d.

This would be quite the ambitious start - let's hope they finally launch.

The stopover point proposed for Spicejet is Timisoara, Romania.

This makes sense too, as Legend Aviation (operator of the 2 leased A340's), is a Romanian company.

So looks like the s24 is out on ACL except can't seem to access the report without signing in. But when signing in still unable to view the reports

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
