The 1000th 777 A6-EGO was in again yesterday and yet again I missed it. I'll get a picture of it one day :shout:

Looks like Brize Norton may be out of action over the coming weekend. We may see various grey coloured metal here at BHX as well as any other kit being used by the RAF for trooping flights etc. Lets kep our eyes peeled to see what comes in shall we?

It's been an interesting day at BHX. C-17 ZZ175 landed around 09.30. An Air contractors Hercules was in most of the day with another RAF C-130 C5 Hercules, ZH883, due in about now. RAF L-101 ZE705 landed just after 1 o'clock and Transaero 747-300F, VP-BGX, diverted from Bruntingthorpe just after half two.

Wish I'd been able to go down and grab some pics.

What's happening at Brize Norton CL44 ^^^ ? Is that why you'be seen some "gray" coloured stuff in today?

I am led to believe there is work being done on the runway at Brize Norton. How long this work will last is anyones guess. Hopefully we shall see some kit that we would not normally see. BBC Breakfast News did a feature on the Christmas flights done by the RAF with all the mail etc shown being loaded onto Airline Pallets. In the background there was (what looked like) an MNG A300 parked up next to some C-17's. Lets keep our eyes peeled over the next few days and see what comes in.

Shame about the Brize traffic Ray, never mind.

The Enter Air you mention in your previous post is currently sat on the deck at Leeds.

This info is taken from another forum but maybe someone here knows more?

Euro Atlantic Airways have slots booked for the whole of Jan between BHX and Imam Khomieni Iran, positioning to/from Lisbon using a 763.

Outbound on a Monday + Wednesday at 2100pm.
Inbound on a Tuesday + Thursday at 1200pm.

A Beluga landed at BHX around 11.30 only managed to get a glimpse as I drove past. F-GSTF was due to depart to Bremen at 15:15 but I think it's still parked on the Elmdon apron.

It's not every day you see a Beluga. I've only ever seen one once near Chester a year or so ago.

I think this is the second or possibly third time I have seen the Beluga parked up here at BHX. I must say it does turn most people's heads when they see it parked up.

A Royal Flight 146 landed about an hour ago. It made a go around around 15:20 just as I was leaving work then landed around 10 mins later. No idea who was aboard.

This afternoons Lufthansa flight from FRA at 17:25, LH 956, is currently scheduled to be an A320 with sharklets. Subject to change of course.

A great video of last Fridays VC10 touch and go complete with car alarms  Wish I could have gone to see it but we were on our way to Cornwall.

Thanks for posting the video Ray, it's a superb aircraft. I remember seeing them on many occasions when I was a teenager back in the 90's. They bring all the memories flooding back. Even by 90's standards they were noisy and if you heard them you knew it was something out of the ordinary.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
