Hifly A340-300 CS-TQM is due to position in tonight from Brussels for the weekend MOD charters. FR24 is currently showing it as over the channel approaching Southend.

A343 CS-TQM is due out to HAJ at 12:30 with a return at 17:45.

Turkish Airlines A321 TC-JSJ is operating TK1969, due at 15:00.

Odd flight path by TK 1969 today - anyone know why?

I see plenty of arrivals perform an anticlockwise loop which I always presumed was to lose more height but I've never seen on like that before. On the subject of Turkish tomorrows TK1969/70 is an A321 again, TK1967/68 remains a 739.

Twinjet A319 G-NMAK has been parked on the Elmdon Apron since yesterday.

Also, showing on BHX arrivals for tomorrow is XLF703 from CDG due at 13:40, no idea of aircraft type yet?

Quite a quiet weekend for BHX - sometimes often 10-15 minute gaps between movements - probably isn't so ideal to go spotting at the moment.

A reminder that UAE 39/40 changes to a 06:25 arrival and 11:55 departure tomorrow until 21st July.

Will be good to see for a change the EK Heavy lined up with UA 757 and Air Transat A330 in the next few weeks :good: :good: :good:

Monarch A320 with winglets G-ZBAA is operating Gibraltar today on a W from Luton, it's a bit of a rare sight to see this one at BHX, I think it's usually based at LBA.

A reminder that Air Transat are back tomorrow, TS164 due at 07:35. The aircraft is an A310 for May, June and October with an A330 for July, August and September.

While its a source of frustration that Air Transat are not increasing at BHX, from a spotter point of view the A310's are becoming rare birds in themselves so won't be too long that like the A300, we will be telling tales of the 'last time I saw one'.

Air Transat seem to have stagnated anyway. It's a shame but what more could they do? As mentioned the Canadian market isn't what it once was.

But BHX is always over 95%, Air Canada are bringing more seats to the UK with flights to MAN and EDI, so there is definately still a market ?????

There is definitely still a good seasonal market but it's been well reported over various forums that Air Transat have said there will be no BHX expansion as it's cheaper to put two aircraft into MAN than one into BHX and we're lucky to have kept hold of the one service we have. If true then it looks like it's as you were for the foreseeable.

The loads are good but the yields aren't. And I'm not saying there isn't a market, it's just not as big as it once was. Air Transat can't be operating to BHX for that much longer, surely? Canada links from most other airports are now operated by airlines who offer more than one link and more than once weekly. Have Air Transat considered twice weekly or more at all, I wonder?

Spanish charter carrier Evelop Airlines will be operating a weekly flight to/from Palma with an A320 on behalf of Thomas Cook. Flights are due in 08:40 and back out at 09:40 on Saturday mornings from May 24th to September 27th, flight numbers are EVE3403/3404.

It's an interesting livery, definitely a nice one for the photographers.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
