Another Norwegian 787 due today, should be swapped for the first one.

The 787 actually arrived today, EI-LNH landed at 14:18 from Gatwick.

LN-LND departed for LGW just after 17:00.

With the Cheltenham Festival it's all about Dublin this week.

Mon 14th - Ryanair 8 flights, Aer Lingus 6 flights

Tue 15th - Ryanair 10 flights, Aer Lingus 5 flights

Wed 16th - Ryanair 8 flights, Aer Lingus 5 flights

Thur 17th - Ryanair 8 flights, Aer Lingus 6 flights

Fri 18th - Ryanair 10 flights, Aer Lingus 7 flights

Hopefully we'll see one or two Aer Lingus A321's.

maybe, but I calculate that to equate to over 26,000 seats on the route over just 5 days!!! assuming of course a 180 seat 738/320 type aircraft is used. this could of course be higher with larger aircraft!!!

The extra flights seem to be exclusively A320s with a single ATR72 later this afternoon/evening.
Also they all seem to be coming from Dublin,I seem to remember 1 or 2 from Cork or Shannon.
Maybe they will operate tomorrow.
Ryanair are as expected all B738s.
As for the horses,I think it is rare for them to be brought over specially for Cheltenham. Most are already over here having raced in meetings during the build up to Cheltenham.
Also most will stay over here as the next big meeting will be Aintree, and the Grand National.
I don't remember any flights operating specifically for bringing in horses for this festival.
I am happy to be corrected though ;)

Horses at one time were brought in through Bristol Airport but I don't know if they still are.

BRS also used to have a number of additional Ryanair flights from DUB for the Cheltenham Festival but these now seem to operate exclusively to BHX with BRS seeing no extra flights for the past two or three years.

Helvetic are using E190 HB-JVN and Air France is A321 F-GTAD. I find it a shame A321s aren't used more often but CDG growth seems to have stalled of late. Fewer passengers flew there in January 2016 than January 2015.

Norwegian swapped 787's again today.

EI-LNH departed this morning looking amazing in the sunshine.

LN-LNE arrived this afternoon.

Apparently sometime this month but as it's almost April I personally think it's going to be some time in April but could be and hope to be wrong but it's definitely a when not if situation.

Also there was a cs100 parked over on the elmdon apron today not sure if this was planned or when it had arrived.

The C-Series was planned as its on a route proving tour of Europe for its ILS certifications. Based in Zurich until end of March.

The new version of FR24 wasn't showing the registration of one of the Norwegian flights from the Canaries, anyone know which aircraft operated the flight? The other flight was operated by EI-FJC.

Hey all,

There should be another 3 class tomorrow morning. Luckily I'll be on it. Seat map showing 9 seats taken in J class. The A380 back on the 4th April into BHX is already showing 42 seats taken in J class.

Kind regards

Karl

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
