The Air Tanker A330 did some flying for Transavia over the weekend, yesterday it operated BHX-TFS-BHX on behalf of Thomas Cook and today it's back flying for Transavia again, currently doing ORY-LIS.

Air Tanker confirmed this aircraft is based at BHX as ACMI? Have I got that correct? In essence, this aircraft is on vacation from the RAF and is operated by Air Tanker on behalf of ...hmmmm...don't know but not the Paderborn service.

The final MRTT was delivered recently to Brize Norton and is on the military register.

14 aircraft, 9 for RAF exclusivily containing full military suite of defensive and sensitive equipment and constitutes the "core military fleet " whilst the remaining form the "surge" fleet, available for civilian use or capable of militarization at short notice in a national emergency. The surge fleet are not KC class but remain convertible if necessary in emergency situations requiring recall from charter service in the commercial domain.

As mentioned previously, surge fleet are on the civilian register G-VYG* and usually painted for the carrier during the period of the lease.

NOTE:

This information is freely available on AIR TANKER and MOD web pages.

Blue Air are back to using a 737-800 today (YR-BMF).

This is one of several aircraft with Blue Air titles that have yet to receive the full livery.

Today we had Stobart ATR72 EI-FSL operating for Flybe from the Isle of Man. Brand new aircraft, delivered less than a week ago.

Air Malta is 9H-AEN and Aegean are using an A321 (SX-DGT).

The Danish ATR72 operating for Flybe has changed from the colourful OY-RUG, to OY-RUB which is in a plain white scheme.

Blue Air look to be using one of their own aircraft, YR-BAP on today's flight instead of the Bulgaria Air 737-300 which has been visiting for several weeks.

Also, Ryanair are operating their inaugural flight from Sofia today, I forgot that this has been brought forward.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
