Barcelona is 5x weekly until mid September when it goes to 4x weekly. It remains 4x weekly throughout October which is up on this Octobers 3x weekly.

Alicante remains 3x weekly until the end of October.

Having had a look today, it would appear additional flights have been added to both routes from BHX...

According to the vueling website...

Barcelona
Jun16 - Up to 5x weekly
Jul16 - Up to 5x weekly
Aug16 - Up to 6x weekly
Sep16 - Up to 5x weekly

Alicante
Jun16 - Up to 4x weekly
Jul16 - Up to 5x weekly
Aug16 - Up to 5x weekly
Sep16 - Up to 4x weekly

Total
Jun16 - Up to 9x weekly
Jul16 - Up to 10x weekly
Aug16 - Up to 11x weekly
Sep16 - Up to 9x weekly

this means that in the month of August, Vueling will be the biggest out of DY, VY and WZ....

Alicante is shown as 5x weekly on the timetable but only three are direct. The Sun and Thur flights are one stop via Barcelona.

There's still plenty of time for potential increases though.

Barcelona now goes daily for the peak summer peroid, well one way at least.

A Tuesday Barcelona to Birmingham flight is now bookable but the return leg currently isn't

It could be a sign of something else maybe? A W-pattern if they may want to launch Palma maybe?! We can dream ...though maybe there's been enough good news for a day lol

It's bookable now.

Barcelona is 2x weekly until mid March when it goes 3x weekly for one week then 5x weekly over Easter. April is 4x weekly, May is 5x weekly, June starts off 5x weekly then goes 6x weekly which carries on throughout July. August is daily as is the first week in Sept. The rest of Sept and Oct are then 5x weekly.

Alicante remains 3x weekly.

That's great, every little helps.

Winter flights are now on sale.

At the moment Alicante continues through still at 3x weekly and on the same days Mon, Wed and Fri. Barcelona is only bookable on Mon and Fri, still plenty of time for change though.

indeed, I would be shocked in VY were offering higher capacity to ALC than BCN over winter.... hopefully we'll have 3x weekly each....

Good to see Vueling launch there winter 16/17 flights, now will they launch any new BHX flights in the near future ???

Id like them to consider Rome in competition with Monarch, dont think this would be too much of a problem ????

Rome would be good.

I'd love to see them try Florence. Flybe saw good loads, a couple of Vueling A319 flights per week could be ideal.

well we are the only Vueling destination in the UK that has 2 destinations. What we have learnt so far is that there are many 1x routes destinations, both in the uk and Europe, or vice versa there are plenty of 3+ route destinations, but BHX is the only with 3!!!

They have shown an intent surely with ALC as well as BCN, but there are soo many they could go for! PMI was obviously rumoured but, as said, Rome, Florence are obvious opportunities from BHX.

Hopefully 2016 will change this!!!

Yes there were lots of rumours about Vueling, as it stands they have expanded across the UK quite nicely and look to have their options open. Apart from the usual Palma, Malaga etc they have some interesting bases such as Bilbao, Paris-Orly, Seville, Florence and Valencia, all of which would be great destinations from BHX.

Word is they have big plans for Luton and going straight in with both BCN and AMS at double daily backs that up, where that leaves BHX I don't know. For me anything we get is a bonus :)

Seville is a great city, and Bibao would offer a something we don't have at BHX - a gateway into northern Spain.

I asked about Palma to MAN and BHX as this route was originally a 'dead cert' accoring to sources last year.

Apparently, there was to be an extra aircraft based at PMI and AGP to open new routes, including MAN and BHX, but, some late opportunities came to base aircraft at CDG, AMS and ZRH which were apparently 'use it or loose it' allocations, thus, the aircraft at PMI and AGP were relocated.

2017 will bring more growth the the UK however, but given how the new routes panned out from the rumours, will just be a wait and see scenario. Plenty of rumours, just have no trust in them after the many changes in strategy this year. For example, Luton wasn't even in consideration this time last year, yet it now has more flights than MAN/BHX/LBA/LPL and NCL combined!

Alicante gets a British Airways code share alongside Barcelona

British Airways and Vueling are further expanding their codeshare arrangements. British Airways has added 24 Vueling routes to the agreement, most of which will launch in Summer 2016.

The agreement means that British Airways customers will have access to Vueling’s network through ba.com.

There is obviously something happening in Barcelona on 4th June, as a raft of extra flights to the UK has been added, including a 2nd flight from BHX on that day.

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
