Of course....

So for BHX-KRK Winter'19

Wizz = Tu/Th/Sa (1,430 seats a week)
Ryainair = Mo/Fr/Sun (1,130 seats a week)
Jet2.com = Mo/Fr (760 seats a week)

Total = 8x flights ( 3,320 seats a week)

Great to see growth on a popular route that's been stagnant for years at 2x weekly.... now we have 6x weekly flights....

Not that I am complaining but it would be nice to see growth on Gdansk and Katowice which have also been stagnant for many years.

That's four Wizz routes, Bucharest, Budapest, Warsaw and now Krakow, using the A321.

The press release refers to Gdansk also but I think this is more a slip-up???

The bit from the Wizz MD may have been from a general press release regarding Poland as they also announced a daily Gdansk-LGW service.

I still think that Wizz could do well adding capacity to Gdansk and Katowice which both seem well under served from Birmingham. It would also be nice to see them take on Vilnius and dare I say it, Riga?

Hi there Ianbutty, I agree on the Jet blue to Orlando daily, but I can't see it happening at all, like I have said many times before, until bhx management wake up and realise and understand that until they change there landing fees price structure policy, to a more simpler one, then Birmingham airport is going to find it hard to attract new or previous airlines back to bhx. Because bhx pricing fees are the reason why airlines do want to do business with them. For example, because of bad weather you are advised and told to divert to Birmingham airport, straight away, once you have landed, you are them subjected to there landing fees policy of £13.00 per tonne or part, so depending on the weight of the aircraft has landed will depend on the cost. So for every tonne of weight landed, it will cost the airline £13.00, so landing a 580 tonnes of a380 will cost you what.? Andyc

New route (that's right NEW route) to Poznan.

Starts Sept 16th on Mon and Fri.

BHX 16:55 POZ 20:00
POZ 20:30 BHX 21:50

Oct 29th it then changes to Tue and Sat to utilise the gap in the Wroclaw schedule.

BHX 16:30 POZ 19:35
POZ 20:05 BHX 21:30

Not sure how it's going to operate from Sept 16th to Oct, will have a proper look at the times later.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
