Thanks all for the support!

The interview went well I think, reeled off all the facts I revised and the lady was seemingly smiling at me the entire way through. Suppose it all hangs on whether I set a good impression now. Fingers crossed

I should find out within 10 days so a few more sleepless nights for me yet!

Best wishes for the job outcome!

Just wondering, was the interview all technical stuff about the aircraft, or were you expected to know details specific to the airline?

More weighted towards what you know about the airline. The course is designed to take someone who doesn't know anything about aircraft and train them to the point of having the ability to fly one.

It was also massively based on giving real-life examples of where you've shown particular skills that a pilot needs to possess.

I can remember sitting in those bus shelters at silly o'clock in the morning waiting for the night bus.

Back then it sure was a grim place to be in the early hours.
When I read the first few words, I can remember sitting in those bus shelters at silly o'clock, I wondered what was coming next. I thought we might be about to be entertained with tales of what the young Ray Finkle used to get up to at the back of the bus shelter.

No not the bus shelter Local Yokel your confusing it with the bicycle shed or at least it was in my school days.

As this is a family forum it's probably best that I go no further on that one ;)

The bus shelter was the focus where I lived but it was out in the country, and was equipped with a seat and was also under cover but as, Ray says, no doubt best to leave it at that, with probably exaggerated memories of the discovery of youth.:wideyed:

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
