Well, at least a few miles from Small Heath! That's correct. The Blues fans live in Birmingham and the Villa fans outside of a radius of at least 30 miles from the Bull Ring.

I think you should probably be getting some sleep!!!I heard when the poles get reversed we will be driving on the right, is that right if you are standing on the right, or possibly on your left if standing on your head, what if you have no awarness of right or left, and dont like middles, or edges.

Like you Kevin, American Football is a mystery to me. I've tried watching it but most of the time the 'action' seems to consist of brief flurries of high speed running followed by what seems like several minutes gathered around the coach to decide what tactic they might try next.Hopefully that does not include the dreadful American game. I watched the Superbowl, but am still non the wiser. Why do they call it 'Football'? The ball is hardly ever in contact with the foot. And then there is the touchdown. Simply catching a ball when beyond a line is a 'touchdown'? I give up!
I'm with you, TLY. Football (proper football), Rugby and Cricket (not in any particular order).
Regards
Kevin
My Dad used to watch American Football back in the day. I have vague memories of Dan Marino (I think he played for Miami?) and an impressively built player nicknamed 'The Fridge', who I think played for Chicago?
Similar to posters above I've tried watching American Football but it's not really for me.
It's the hope that kills, don't worry it's just the same for us on the other side of the divideI'm too nervous to even think about tomorrow![]()

There is an interesting piece in the Independent about the Second City derby, it's linked below and well worth a read.
This paragraph just about sums the whole thing up
The March 2003 encounter at Villa Park was one of the all-time great Premier League fixtures, featuring another Enckelman howler, two red cards, a 21-man brawl, rucking in the stands, Savage being headbutted by Dion Dublin and then being substituted for his own safety, and striker Geoff Horsfield ending the game in goal.
