It is strange because it's not as if we ever win much, certainly not in team sports anyway. If England was continually winning at every or most sports dislike/envy/annoyance (whatever it is) from people in other countries might be more readily understandable.Well today i realised that the saying everyone hates the English really is true, all i’ve seen on social media today is people from other countries saying that NZ should’ve won the cricket even though England won fairly and to the rules...
Not a clue why people can’t stand seeing our teams succeed no matter what sport
It's the media really. It's because the English media tend to overhype things and then go on and on about it. 1966 is an example. They still go on about that today! Also as a country England's relationship with many countries through history has been a dominant, overbearing and in many cases a bullying one. Hence why for many countries beating England is a major objective! In Wales with rugby for many it's a bigger achievement beating England than winning the Grand slam or world cup. Same with most other sports. In essence people like to see England humbled and not winning!Well today i realised that the saying everyone hates the English really is true, all i’ve seen on social media today is people from other countries saying that NZ should’ve won the cricket even though England won fairly and to the rules...

I have my interview to become a Commercial Pilot at CAE tomorrow alongside representatives from a certain Airline too. I think I have mentioned what airline it is before.
So so nervous, been revising for days on end now. Fingers crossed I pass

I am fully confident GliderPilot but good luck with tomorrow![]()
Best of luck mate, we'll all have everything crossed for you![]()
I know we've discussed this before elsewhere Jerry but few English people seem to want Wales or Scotland to lose at anything unless they are playing England, but the reverse is certainly not the case. It's the media really.
