Those are all factors that I have been thinking about too. The airlines and Airport should know how well advanced bookings are going. It's fantastic to hear that Emirates, Qatar, Saudia and Turkish are all presently seeing excellent load factors. It's especially encouraging to know Qatar are doing so well since returning and Saudia with them being a new carrier.
However, to caveat the above, we must not forget it's currently peak holiday season. For example, in 2019 we had double daily A380s going full during Easter, Christmas and half term breaks.
Honestly, my glass is definitely half full, but how these flights perform outside the peak travel times will determine if or when we see any increases. Hopefully bookings are holding up for the quieter periods such as October/November and next January...
2 A380 not good for Cargo Ops as one of our well informaed forumers will confirm.
I thought my ears were burning! At the end of the day decisions regarding fleet placement will be handled by someone in Dubai who looks at the Passenger figures first. If they warrant 2 x A380 flights then that is what we will get. Whilst cargo does have an input regarding the success of a flight the main revenue earned is via Self-Loading Cargo (aka Passengers). While cargo doesn't moan about the meal options or the entertainment system not working as well as it should, the passengers are the ones passing their hard earned money over to fly on a particular flight and date. Cargo (normally) doesn't care when it flies or where from (yes there are exceptions to this e.g. live animals or perishable foodstuffs) and so Emirates can send pallets of cargo to outlying stations (Newcastle / Stansted etc) without too much of an issue as long as the goods get to the final destination. Passengers tend to moan (quite loudly) if that happens to them and so the passengers are looked at more highly than cargo! This has been the case for the last 39 years (to my knowledge) and I don't expect it to change any time soon.Alternatively another option a three daily B777- 300HD would be 1281 seats giving more connection choices plus loads of freight capacity making at least one esteemed member a happy bunny.
Regarding ‘peak season’ one factor to be considered is the origin of passengers. If the current loads consisted of 100% BHX locally sourced pax, then marked troughs and peaks would be highly evident when reliant on seasonal school, public holidays etc. However, the pax profiles for the MEA’s are not in this category and the demand is accordingly different. The overall bulk consists of VFR and business type (not all travelling j ) world travellers who are not necessarily restrained by UK seasonality. In a way this reduces the volatility of demand and the airlines already recognise this by fare structure adjustments and ensuring regular cash flow. Those are all factors that I have been thinking about too. The airlines and Airport should know how well advanced bookings are going.
Not happening any time soon. Most likley capacity increases will happen but a third flight is impossible at this pointAlternatively another option a three daily B777- 300HD would be 1281 seats giving more connection choices plus loads of freight capacity making at least one esteemed member a happy bunny.

Yeah seems like thatIt is only listed until end of March as slots are borrowed from Cathay
I agree and the second image seems to highlight an anti-static vent and a light. Compare with my photo -Looks like shadows / reflections to me. Sorry.
A small hole in the side of the fuselage that works in conjunction with the pitot tube and air speed indicator. I'm not an Aero Engineer, so can't go into it in detail.Whats an anti-static vent?
Take away the "anti" and the system will workA small hole in the side of the fuselage that works in conjunction with the pitot tube and air speed indicator. I'm not an Aero Engineer, so can't go into it in detail.
