Do we think Aer Lingus UK will ever expand their route network from Manchester? I am suprised we dont see more North America destinations or Cancun for example.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a negotiation tactic. Not so long ago she was saying the exact opposite about the MAN routes. L/Fs remain good. Sounds to me as though she is issuing a warning for EI UK staff to desist. If they do leave, the capacity will be quickly taken up by another carrier, no doubt.
Not so much with an A330 though. If you look at a lot of the destinations they are launching from Dublin they are secondary cities and have been launched with the A321LR not so much the A330. Manchester routes are more suitable for the A330s rather than the A321LR.I have always said that they will go back to DUB at some point as there are more US desitations they can stArt from DUB and EIUK will not exist.
Shame if it happens
As a separate UK company, Aer Lingus UK files an annual report at companies house so its all there warts and all really. It looks to me like they make about £12 profit per passenger, which does seem to be well below IAG overall and the Aer Lingus group within IAG (all of which is available in the IAG annual report). So to be fair, it seems a fair statement. Long-haul leisure with most of the demand emanating from the uk end is a tough business as plenty of others have proved. Not so long ago she was saying the exact opposite about the MAN routes. But with a bit of effort they could be doing MUCH better. As a separate UK company, Aer Lingus UK files an annual report at companies house so its all there warts and all really.
