I wonder if the Prince of Wales might be a special guest as well, especially if there is Qatari royalty on the flight as well.

The first Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Cardiff (QR323) is scheduled to be on A7-ALU, A350-941XWB.
This particular aircraft is brand new, being delivered to Qatar only a week ago on the 24th April 2018. Since then it has been to Malé twice, Amman, Kuwait, Geneva and Zurich.
It is configured with 36 Business Class and 247 Economy seats. The B787-8 aircraft which will be used on the route going forward will have 22 Business Class and 232 Economy seats.

Plane won't be landing till 12.15! Got to have some brekkie first!

A7-ALU is currently over Germany just north of Frankfurt and to the east of Cologne just over an hour out. Looking at the direction of the aircraft landing at BRS it might pass to the south of that airport.

I didn't manage to get out to Weston today but if the clouds break up a bit I might see the A350 on its way in to CWL as it passes just to the south of Bristol. It was almost cloudless earlier this morning here. Aircraft currently south of Breda in the Netherlands with FR showing eta 1231.

Just over north sea now at 43000 ft. I don't know what normal height for this aircraft,if lower cruise height can only think its fairly light.

I'm working from home today in West London so with no clouds to be seen should get a good view or at least a peek of the inbound A350 (hopefully).

Looks like it might pass just to the north or maybe even over BRS.

Nope to the south!

Turned left over the M4 near junction 18, then routed over the south-east Bristol suburbs then right over the top of BRS itself. Sadly for me, although there were breaks in the clouds they weren't in the right place and I had no view of the A350. Now about to establish for final approach over Brean, south of Weston.

Landed now and parked on the airbridge! An amazing sight!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
