I really do not know what the reaction will be.

I think I'm expecting a bit of a mixed bag so we'll see.

Answer the question people in the know.They all use the same types of aircraft anyway so it will not be giving
anything away.Is it a 737 an A321 767 or 777. If is the one of the first two watch the interest in this discussion decline

Isn't the supposed airline supposed to be new to the TATL market though? Air NZ fly LAX-LHR.

A mixed reaction?

A potential mixed reaction comes from the extremes of the Birmingham supporters, from the most positive down to the real negative. The positive folk may see a new airline with a good schedule (unless it's changed) having a real go and offer their support, the more negative may bemoan the lack of brand awareness, blah, blah, etc, etc and be on a downer from the start. There is also the inevitable 'mine is bigger than yours' that we usually see from elsewhere.

As I said before, Birmingham doesn't seem to be in a position where it has a huge choice over who flies where, they need to grasp every opportunity that comes along. I think this one will come as a surprise but I hope that people offer their full support as if this fails we may be left totally empty handed.

Hopefully not much longer now, it's going to be interesting
