Given that Váradi, CEO of Wizzair has stated that they intend to focus on Eastern Europe, I wonder how much truth there is in rumours of new bases in UK. Michael O’Leary seems convinced that the airline will be taken over, but maybe he would say that.

PIA will delay their return due to lack of planes. I would surprised if they cancelled any routes to the UK.

I would guess it's Brussels Airlines not returning for S26?

I think PIA are starting to realise that they have very little left of their international airline to re-launch. The very fact they have to stop their LHE-CDG in order to re-launch their ISB-MAN route speaks volumes.

I doubt we will be seeing PIA back at BHX anytime in the foreseeable future! ....and to be honest, its not a loss, especially if it were to impact Qatar and Saudia!

In more positive news, great to see that Air India increase to 5x weekly from next week with the reinstatement of BHX-ATQ on Tuesdays. (BHX-ATQ 3x weekly / BHX-DEL 2x weekly)

In addition, PIA has been given ‘instructions’ to look at starting BCN and MXP. Even LHR restarting at the end of October is looking like a problem.

These events are a great way to 'speed date' with airlines and BHX always attend and build relationships, it will interesting to see who from BHX goes !
