I too have been a bit 'down' about Boston etc over the weekend but have just received an e-mail from a very reliable source saying Boston is simply down to aircraft deliveries and bookings ex BHX are going very well.
They are looking at two further destinations when aircraft deliveries allow. Followed by three more once the LR's arrive.
So this looks like a blip and all is ok (I HOPE)

Yes they said it's still operating, even when i told them it definately isn't!
Well technically they still are. They are still onsale. The prices on some flights are high but that could be a precaution in case the aircraft don't get delivered ontime if they do they can just drop them back down again.

Don' they check there own website I contacted them a couple of days ago about Boston and they said flights are going ahead as stated

I still fail to see how they can sell flights( at any price) when they know full well they won't happen

I'm not convinced............................yet!

This is what Primera Air were tweeting seven days ago--"Did you know that every 1.4 seconds an @Airbus takes off or lands? We’re thrilled that very soon our brand new Airbus A321LR and A321neo fleet will take you on a transatlantic journey". Will it and where from?

If the flights are on sale still (albeit with very high prices on select days), where did the information about EWR being 4x weekly and Boston being postponed until September come from? Flights are still showing on Primera's website, Skyscanner and Google...?

Could the high prices just indicate that those flights are pretty much all booked up so Primera are trying to get the best price out of the few remaining seats?

Then again a bit of a coincidence that the high prices for Newark are the days that Toronto operates and that all Boston fares have gone up...

And this on social media today,

Have you heard we're running a competition throughout January with Free Radio giving you the chance to win your Big Ticket to see Ed Sheeran in Toronto, Sam Smith in Boston and Maroon 5 in New York, thanks to Primera Air!?

As Donald Trump would say WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ?

Apparently it takes circa 4 months to build and fit out an A321 and as has been reported, there is currently only half a fuselage in Germany. There are also engines (having their own issues), ETOPS, crew visa's and probably a whole host of other stuff to factor in. STN starts in around 3 months.

The programme was always going to be tight but now it seems as if one BHX aircraft at least will be pushed back to Sept and there are rumours that STN may also see the same.

I'd imagine that there will be lots of ongoing discussions to try and find the best solution. For us an aircraft lease or even a 737 would be preferable but it may not be financially viable.

Frustrating but I think it really is a case of wait and see what they can come up with.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
