I was in my garden just under an hour ago and saw a TUI B757 on approach to BRS 27. I live about a mile to the north of seven-mile finals for 27.
It'll be interesting to see if it end's up operating possibly a few flights from cwl as it was reported elsewhere that the seat map for someone's flight to Cyprus in September was for a 757.

TUI should have had three flights from BRS tomorrow - Ibiza, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote - but all have been cancelled.

Until Severn posted earlier today I wasn't aware there would be a B757 at BRS for what's left of this summer season and that BRS had already seen the last of the type that has served the airport for TUI and predecessors for so long. I thought the original plan pre-COVID was six 738s and a 787 to be based for the entire summer.

I know that in the past TUI (and Thomas Cook) has operated w-diagrams to other UK airports using BRS-based aircraft but Larnaca seems a long way for that to work, so it might mean a short positioning flight across the estuary if the BRS-based 757 is to be used to LCA from CWL.

Would one crew have enough hours to operate BRS-CWL(P)-LCA-CWL-BRS(P)?

TUI operated its Palma flight today according to the BRS website departures page and FR24. I thought that TUI had suspended its flights to Spanish territories.

The flight operated last week so the outbound would have been empty, the inbound bringing home those already in Mallorca, confirmed by FR24 showing that the entire outbound was flown at 41,000 feet.

Will LPA be going ahead? Looks like TUI have postponed all Spanish islands flights by at least a week (now showing w/b 17/08) which is, of course, understandable.

The TUI flight to Gran Canaria is showing cancelled on the dep boards today. monday 10th august.
Yes, the LPA was on the boards yesterday, but today is showing as cancelled. All 3x B738s were used today and the B752 will be sat around, no longer needed for the LPA.

However, looking to next Monday (17th), it will require 4x aircraft, as the LPA should be up and running again.

Any one any idea if the b788 will be used from BRS or used from another airport,or it will stay there stored. With no long haul running yet i would think they would have spare dreamliners stored else where as well.
