And the alcohol for tonight is....?

Just poured my last glass of Goose Island IPA. Won't be long until the cork is pulled out of the Talisker.

I've also treated myself to a packet of Pistachio nuts (I love them, but don't have them very often as they're not cheap), which aren't lasting long.

Earlier I opened a pack of Hickory Smoked Nut Selection (roasted Almonds, Cashews and Macadamia), I've had to ask Mrs F to hide them as they will be finished.

White wine tonight, a bottle of La Vieille Ferme, 1.5 litre rather than the usual 75cl.

It's alright 👍

Mrs Thunderchild is out for the evening and the kids are fast asleep so I’ve cracked open a bottle of Argentinian Malbec to wash down the balti!

It's too cold for my liking to be frolicking in the garden 😃

Incidentally Bicicleta is only 5.99 in mozzers at the moment.

Port wine laced with Vodka, Guaranteed to nullify the pain! Doctors baulk at my medication choice but it My demise, not theirs!
I find Port strong enough on it's own (love it with cheese), but if with Vodka works for you, go ahead.
I remember when I was about 12 or 13, my Great Gran had a massive heart attack (she was around 90). My parents rushed around, to be told by the doctor that "she wouldn't see the night out, a 30 year old man wouldn't survive a heart attack like that". He also stipulated 'no alcohol'. My Great Gran was asking for a Whisky. My Mom's thoughts were 'if she's not going to see the night out, she may as well at least be happy' and poured my Great Gran a Whisky. My Great gran lived for a good seven years after that.

I have recently opened a subscription on Amazon for a regular delivery of a splendid single malt at a lovely price of £14.15 for a 70cl bottle. Lots of good stuff at discounted prices if on subscription.

It's been a while since anyone posted here.
Tonight, I've got three bottles (well, only two now) of McEwan's Champion. A strong (7.3%), dark ale with both bitter and sweet notes - delicious. I only intended to buy 2, but it was basically 'buy 2 get 1 half price' - a 'no brainer'.

Cheers!
