Except, of course the airport was “in the Midlands” and various bits of the images were scrubbed. We may have been able to recognise the airport, but a lot of people may not have readily identified its location. Let this group not be guilty of causing an event of which none of us would wish to have an association.

Sorry but I really do not understand this "continued" issue with these flights being mentioned. Actually on GMB (Good Morning Britain) this morning they mentioned Birmingham as the airport so it is out there and at the end of the day it is of interest to me what aircraft are going into BHX,

Why this "silence" I simply do not understand ??

The I newspaper ran the 'Midlands Airport' story today with a cropped picture. But the picture was not cropped enough and included an airbridge...not that the average I newspaper reader has a good knowledge of airports, but....

Maybe we all need to be a bit more worried about why a young Afghan child was killed and fell out of a 12 storey hotel in Sheffield whilst being "saved" from them terrorists in Afghanistan rather than having a meltdown every time some flights arrive into the UK from this country.

What a tragic state of affairs

And now I will probably be accused of going off topic, ha

Maybe they want to keep it quiet so as not to encourage protesters who don't agree with them coming.

Hi Ian, I've just noticed your avatar and believe I have the same item. What I have is printed on a white plastic disc about 18 inches in diameter. I obtained it in the terminal on the day of the inaugural ORD - BHX - ORD service. I was given it as they were taking down the promotional display after the departure of the flight. There can't be too many of them in existence now. Shame BHX doesn't still have that service.

Surprised the Ethiopian B787 inbound from Dubai didn’t get more attention. ET-ATI on a repatriation flight landing now.

You can't mention them on FFA for some reason, yet I can go on a BHX fanpage on facebook and look at all the information and exciting pictures of Ethiopian 787s and Iberojet (Evelop) A330s

It's like the COVID word, don't mention it unless its on the specifi Covid thread :censored:

There won't be much to talk about soon.

Have just been threatened with arrest and told to leave airport property as was taking a picture of CS-TKS,asked to provide dob, address etc.Saw same copper 10 mins later and said he had spoken to airport and could remain but NO pictures allowed of Afghan flights.Have relocated from car park 5 to end of runway cov Rd.Was on way to Elmdon side to do same,be warned,Regards,Simon.
When i was asked for my details I asked if I was legally required to do so,he said as I was on airport property yes or in the airport police station if I refused.I pointed out to him that we were 100 yards from the airport provided spotting area but made no difference,he said I could be a journalist disguised as a spotter
This happened to me yesterday, have filed a complaint today, regards,Simon.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
