EMA sounds right given the layout of the aerodrome, parking space a plenty for larger aircraft when freight activities are quiet. Also, as a MAG site, it fits with any Stansted and Manchester operations.
I must have miss-read the post -

A mix variety of EMA , LHR and STN. I think all are related to busy airspace , parking and the queens funeral. Garunteed you wouldn't see these types of movements otherwise unfortunately.
As we were discussing aircraft positioning/operating to BHX, I assumed that this was what the EMA reference was referring to.

Next week may see some interesting movements too which a certain airfield up the M6 may be gifting to us

Again, this is what I mean. Why the need for the cryptic tongues? Just say what it is and where they are coming from. If a non-airline/airport worker like yourself knows what they are, they are hardly *that* commercially sensitive, are they!

The movements I assume you refer to are Hainan and Aer Lingus in particular using BHX for fuel as there is maintenance ongoing on the MAN fuel line next week limiting its flow and thus airlines are either being asked to tanker fuel or have a fuel stop if possible. Hainan is operating MAN-BHX-DLC-PEK and Aer Lingus is MAN-BHX-MCO.

See how easy it is to just say what the movements are?

Hainan & Aer Lingus using BHX correct, if you could post other heads up to this thread going forward it would save the cloak & dagger as dont want to post anything confidential etc

If you don't like how information is posted on this thread, don't look at it.

If this thread is so important to you, put up with it.

Simples 🙃

Weststar 762 (2-TSSA) just arrived at BHX. Very nice looking Aircraft.
Post automatically merged:

The Weststar 762 has parked as close to the Old Terminal as possible leaving a fair amount of ramp space open. I know we are expecting the JASDF 773 over the weekend but does anyone know what else might be seen?

Why is it cloak and dagger? It’s a fuel stop on a publicly available flight, that eventually the passengers will be told in advance of the stop and can eventually be tracked on flight radar and possibly on the arrivals/departures boards? I know you think I’m singling you out, but I’m genuinely confused as to why such flights would be subject to confidentiality that you can ‘tease’ but not tell?

Surely people just post in their own style ie a spotter is interested in registration, times, destination etc others like a bit more "colour " as in maybe information that it's football or grand prix related or maybe an unusual freight movement and what cargo its carrying or its in for maintenance at STS. Alternatively if it is a one off by an unusual airline people may speculate is it a precursor to a route announcement.

Others with inside information may feel restricted by confidentiality and post or hint at what they feel they can and it encourages a bit ofspeculation what's the problem?

This forum allows everyone the choice to read any post or ignore individual posters if you so wish, to be honest it seems to me its a bit of the poinless MAN/BHX thing creeping in.

By the way arrived back at BHX yesterday afternoon looked like A330 central

Why are you so mad. If you don’t like what’s posted just ignore

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that all sections of the forum are open for people to voice their opinions provided that forum etiquette is maintained. Please let’s not assume peoples motives and so on, that’s the type of thing that leads to arguments - please have consideration for us mods!!!.

I think this may be an opportunity to remind ourselves that this is an open forum and members are free to post information as they feel they are able to just as long as it remains within the forum guidelines. If anyone else then wants to add to that information, put more meat on the bones as it were, then I'm sure that it would be greatly received by all of us but please, lets at least keep things civil.

Can we now get this thread back to what it is intended for, namely BHX Movements and Heads Up.

Thank you Ray for deleting that post - not sure why it exploded in that way (total over-reaction as always).
All I can do is post what I allowed to share then add more details later.

Yes I prefer this approach, just tell us ?

I noticed the other night as soon as I gave the forum more infomation on the Emrates A380, Ian confirmed what I had said, loooooooooooooooooooool

However I had to spend time, searching and asking on other forums to get the information when it could of saved me 20 minutes.

That's all im saying on the matter but ive had my say.

:)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
