Airport website departures board also showing Corendon from 26th October. Whether this will change again like the Gulf Air date I'm not sure.
I think from memory Corendon is a notional change at the end of the summer season and they will pick back up in T2 from next summer season

Yes that was the original plan. though it seems to have changed now to be operating from T2 for the final week of their summer ops from 26th (screenshot provided), though I do agree it's a bit strange to only do it for the final week. All other planned move dates match this board as well. Again could change like it did with Gulf Air so we'll see.

EasyJet move to T2 also now on MAN's Website.

Thanks for the info.
I’m sure Etihad had their own lounge in T1 until Covid…I stand to be corrected on that though…

The Emirates lounge will be ready by March next year apparently…
The post re the EK lounge mentioned 'much later in 2026'. I'd heard March'26 as well, but I wasn't sure whether 'much later' meant from the date of the move from T1 or now much later in 2026.

Now Pier 2 is complete. Does anyone know what timescale is for Pier 3, any guesses? I think 2030 at earliest!? Any news re cargo sheds demolition for new remotes too?

Pier 3 will be a while off now. I’d expect an opening date of 2029 to be reasonable.

Swissport move out of their shed in building 300 on the 27th Oct.

Not seen any confirmed dates for the remaining occupants.

CCGE29, are you able to shed any more light on the Emirates lounge. Is it expected to be late March when it opens or even later now?
Which MAN lounge will EK premium passengers be offered after the airline moves to T2?

Had a quick nosey on both level 13 of T1 MSCP and the T2 MSCP yesterday and noticed a Hainan A330 on stand 207 (I think) so nice to see widebody’s now using the new pier.
I noticed a TUI 787-9 on 61C in the new configuration (slightly angled to the right rather than a straight line onto stand) for the purpose of the new dual taxiway system.
Gulf Air has been on stand 27 the past few days so I assume it’s usual stand 31 is now code C only?

One last observation is how dark it is on the legacy T2 area compared to the rest of the airfield (with the non LED lighting).

I was looking at the Manchester City Council planning document the other day and it shows an extension of the original T2 multi story car park. Has this planned been scrapped or are MAG waiting for the TP office to be gone before starting the process. It says about the need for 2500 spaces. Due to T1 car park being part of the demolition commitment.

Icelandair and Air Transat moves finally posted by the airport today:

Corendon move has been pushed back until after the T1 closure, as originally planned.

I would imagine any demolition of T1 will be a while off yet, at least until either Pier 2 is built or the current new T3 entrance has been moved. I'm not sure if the car park plan has been shelved though though I agree new car parks are needed since most of the car parks seem to be unavailable for pre-booking except JetParks the last few times we've travelled.

Now all airbridges are defunct on T3. What's the plan for removal. Or will be mothballed? Seems pointless maintaining them anymore!

Can't see any demolition happening for many years....need to make more progress with T2, pier 3, maybe pier 4, then demo Pier C, rebuild pier B then take down some of old T1 structures. Probably looking at next 10-15 years. Not enough capital to do any quicker. May need to look at further T2 terminal expansion eastward possibly, especially if current set up becomes overwhelmed with Easyjet footfall etc!

I wouldnt be at all surprised to see the new T3 expanded west as mooted years ago this potentially allows Pier C to be consumed by the extension of T2 and an airside link to what we today know as the southern corridor. It would free up space initially for pier B to be replaced.

Ref the T3 air bridge’s, @CCGE29 mentioned a while ago that they will be removed, but I imagine not a priority at the moment …

Technically it’s still part of the original TP planning app.

Reading back through the last few pages would help you.

Gulf Air's move to T2 confirmed for 5th November 2025 as per their website. Hopefully the MAN website will update this in due course (I have informed them on socials).

I went through the 'new' ryanair check in process the other day through T1 and into T3. All very well signed by the airport but it's a much longer journey. Do we know what the airport is planning to do with the space from the old T3 check in areas or old security search yet?

The food court staff in T1 mentioned 18th of November as the date they close down, so I assume most of T1 will follow suit from that day, although I haven't seen a move date for Emirates yet and was under the impression that might be many months away yet...

That does ring a bell as an original Emirates move date so…

Emirates are currently planned to move to T2 on 18th November. EasyJet move to T2 the following day and are the last to move after which the T1 name will be retired. Ryanair departures are showing as T3 again from 19th November but the process will be the same as it is currently.

Judging from the flight information boards, the final T1 departure will be EJU7856 to Amsterdam at 19:45 on 18th November, and the final arrival will be EZY2252 from Hurghada at 01:30 on 19th November. That is unless operations switch at midnight, but I would imagine they wouldn't do the switchover until all the late night arrivals have been completed, which there only three after midnight.

A few observations from a quick walk round today

Check in Zone A now open in T2 - Was used by Pegasus and Saudia today but will be for easyJet

Still a lot of self serve check in kiosks being installed - possibly another 3 rows

Emirates will use Zone D - Incidentally the rumour was that Emirates started their lounge a while ago but when a big boss arrived said "why are you using last years plan " and they had to start all over again

Hoarding is going up around the first set of travellators on the Skylink to T1/3 -possibly being replaced ?

Ryanair in full swing in Check in area A in T1/3 - also lots of signs and staff airside to direct people

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
