Use this prefix for new threads for Manchester Airport
If I remember to, I will now post a monthly update of work in progress on the airfield. This comes in the format provided by NATS in the AIS (Airfield Information Service). In order to save space I have removed reference to Danger Areas. Also attached is a copy of the latest airfield layout which will assist in finding taxiway closures etc.

Thanks Scottie. Not much to discuss now re T2. Now construction completed. Can't see much happening for a good few years now

There is a NOTAM stating E9-E10 is closed until 7th August, is this for the extended dual taxiway operation? Therefore the dual taxiway will extend passed pier 2 beyond this date?

Think that's the plan. But still need to make up for remote stands lost. Wonder if dual taxiway will only be in operation at peak times and they retain remotes for night parking? Can't see cargo sheds demolition happening any time soon to make way for new remotes?

Random question but does anyone know if boots will be coming back to T3 and if so where would it be? Just for future reference for when I next fly out of T3

Seems the ‘new’ Escape lounge in T3 is actually the old Emirates lounge with a staffed bar fitted.
Furniture, carpets and ornaments all unchanged. Gobsmacked. What a great space for free with a DragonPass etc.
What a MASSIVE upgrade on the previous crappy windowless mice infested lounge!

So last month I got to experience the new Executive Lounge in T2. I was flying out for the World Cup with Virgin and this was the 2nd day in operation so very much in soft launch mode. On arrival I was directed to the Boll the private dining area that is reserved for Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers currently. They may open this up at a later date for a up charge. The space is very similar to an AMEX Centurion lounge or Delta One lounge. The old 1903 lounge is now part of the T2 escape lounge.

I'm using the Executive Lounge next month, quite looking forward to a little bit of calm away from the mid-afternoon chaos that is usually T2.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
