Now Phase 2 is underway, am I right in assuming the priority is to create the new CSZ area in between check in hall A and B so as to allow the current CSZ to be vacated and transformed into a new arrivals waiting area?

The CSZ is moving into what was the international baggage reclaim area, with the entry point mid way between check in halls A and B. Whether it's a priority or not, I wouldn't know. I would think not. Given it involves relocating the scanning equipment which will impact passengers, I would think it will be done during the winter, but I have not seen the project plan so just guessing. Given the price of scanners and that they've only just been installed, I can't imagine them buying new again. Now Phase 2 is underway, am I right in assuming the priority is to create the new CSZ area in between check in hall A and B so as to allow the current CSZ to be vacated and transformed into a new arrivals waiting area?
The only boarded-up areas of the terminal atm are are around the old baggage reclaim (new CSZ) as far as I'm aware. As of 2 weeks ago they had gutted the ceiling, probably more now.Now Phase 2 is underway, am I right in assuming the priority is to create the new CSZ area in between check in hall A and B so as to allow the current CSZ to be vacated and transformed into a new arrivals waiting area?
The new area only houses a bar eatery and a Burger King which allows the airport to close the old food village. New retail units are planned for the old part of the terminal once completed but the airport has yet to announce what brands we will see. There has been rumours about Boots leaving the airport but this is unconfirmed. It may be buried deep in this thread somewhere. But what new shops, restaurants and bars is there in the refurb? And are the old ones still there?

People will still complain. They'll want airbridges to their cars next.Seemingly a covered walkway is being constructed within the short stay car park.View attachment 32677
Not only that, but also attended by Leeds City Council (the very same that includes some within planning who are trying their best to block LBAs growth through a refusal to deal properly with the CLEUDs) and Bradford Council, who just sit there doing nothing positive relative to LBA.
I guess the airport couldn't find many that were worthy to cut the ribbon but these seem like a case of keeping your enemies close. At least they who shall not be named weren't there! Unless of course they were in disguise as a councillor?
Building that
