Wonder if our wonderful Lord Mayor Ms. Breadbin will ceremoniously dig the first sod to mark the start of the project and to show her support for our expanding airport bringing jobs and prosperity to West Yorkshire. Think we all know the answer to that one! Has she ever shown a glimmer of support for LBA?

Strictly speaking its already happened back in April 2019.

It's hard to imagine she's even been to LBA and the only interest she's ever shown publicly was to say she was disappointed the new terminal has been canned, despite failing miserably to support it - she instead just rolled over and stayed quiet rather than contradict the pathetic famous five Labour MPs who opposed it.

I can't see her turning a sod at LBA and getting into bother with the anti airport MPs, all of whom , as we predicted, now look stupid, facing the same growth but in a far less sustainable terminal.

Great to see that the airport’s opponents chickens have come home to roost to haunt them, their folly of opposing the previous new terminal plans being cruelly exposed.
What's happening now, is exactly what we told them would happen, but they were in denial at the time, claiming the airport couldn't go ahead with this extension.
They who shall not be named are not very good at planning issues. They'll find that out again over their claims of a 5m planning limit in passengers. And quite possibly again regards the CLEUDs which seem to be LBAs response to them sticking their nose in.

That`s the problem with people who are driven by self interest and or ideology. If they were more objective they would`nt lose as often.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
