Those are some interesting images. Do you know if these are going to be available on the LCC planning portal? I have had a search but cannot find anything recent.
It would be good to see the labels for the proposed sections.

You wont find them on the LCC planning portal because the airport doesn't need to apply for planning for the internal changes.

Which parts in particular are you referring to?

I'm guessing but I think the new rooms in CSZ will be search rooms and also for remote baggage screening.

Not sure what exactly which rooms in the CSZ you mean, but I do know that instead of having officers at the side of the lanes viewing the x ray screens, these are all going to be located in an adjacent office, remote from the screening area where they can be viewed in a quiet area. Presumably at least one of the adjacent rooms will be for that purpose.

Apologies, I meant the new baggage offload area. There appears to be a series of offices or rooms in the top right of the above plan. I don't remember this area having as much allocated as it appears now.

They look like crew rooms. I suppose there's also the possibility of a new C corridor.

@White Heather Am I correct in thinking the arrival and departure corridor which runs the length of the terminal is to remain intact and connect to the new arrivals facility?

If you mean the corridor along the terminal front ( car park side) then yes, it would seem so. It will be departing passengers only though. Entry to the Screening Zone midway with Check In A and B heading towards it in opposite directions from each end

No I meant the apron side.

The way I interpret the plans, the airside corridor remains and links to a ground floor corridor leading to immigration. If this is correct, it's a smart move.

I initially thought this was going to be where the current exit is for arrivals?

This change must be for the better considering all other airlines and their customers use check in hall a.

There will 5 international baggage belts and 1 domestic belt. You can see the 5th belt over to the left of the diagram.

Extension to the internal airside arrivals and departure gate corridor. The first section is on the first floor and leads to the new terminal extension. The section links to the ground floor corridor by lift and stairs.


New ground floor arrivals and departures corridor which links to the first floor corridor by stairs and lifts.


This shows how the arrivals and departure corridor can link to the new domestic arrivals by the old stand 8 arrivals stairwell.
