Of course, now, the problem is that everyone will want to get in the extension with a nice view and nobody will want to sit in the old part. Especially when parts of it look like a building site. So the new paper will be rammed, and the old part will be for shopping and a last resort for just sitting waiting.

It's actually starting to look like a proper airport, may the investments continue!
Yes it has the look of an international airport but with a relaxing feel to it. The first pic with the wavy ceiling looks great, i like the style of the ceilings overall.
The drinking and eating places appear to be set back so that it gives a big open feel to the front where the main windows are looking out to the apron, all good!

Just looking back through that video, can anyone explain what is behind the shutters in the arrivals corridor to the new immigration area? It looks like a closed retail unit?

🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😁

It's great to see such huge support from one of the local MPs and the Mayor of West Yorkshire.

I can’t actually believe they let her cut the tape. She has only ever been luke warm at best regarding the airport, until of course Labour got elected and the front bench realised they need transport infrastructure to fuel the economy and coffers. Oh and then Tracy and Rachel reeves did an about turn.

Not only that, but also attended by Leeds City Council (the very same that includes some within planning who are trying their best to block LBAs growth through a refusal to deal properly with the CLEUDs) and Bradford Council, who just sit there doing nothing positive relative to LBA.

I guess the airport couldn't find many that were worthy to cut the ribbon but these seem like a case of keeping your enemies close. At least they who shall not be named weren't there! Unless of course they were in disguise as a councillor?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
