Re: re: leedsbradfordairport.co.uk

I know me too, could kick myself. Nobody will ever believe anything I say now :spiteful:

Re: re: leedsbradfordairport.co.uk

i think that leeds bradford airport should pay manchester airports group to create a website like manchester airports because it is a good looking simple but affective website and easy to operate around and does'nt look taky unlike in my opinion the leeds bradford website

White Heather has mentioned this at the Consultative Committee meetings numerous times from what I gather but nothing ever seems to get done about it.

Yes I have and no it doesn't. It is really annoying. It must be 2 years now since they said they were introducing a completely new web site and we are still waiting for it!

i am amazed they gotrid of the news section and made some stupid weather update i know it was a while ago but still... they could of kept the news section

The news section is still on there although you now have to scroll down the page to get it.

Do the same people update ceefax arrivals. Since Ryanair started services to Limoges EVERY time there is a flight to Limoges, Ceefax says LINOGES. It is right on the website.

Has anyone else noticed that the Web link "Getting Here" from the LBIA website home page is not working at the moment http://www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk/p ... =Bus_Links

Hope nobody wants directions on how to get to LBA or how to get to Leeds, Bradford Harroagate and the sourroubing areas. Especially now the bus service changes have happpend this weekend. As nobody who dose'nt know there area and has a look on there will have a clue as to how to get to and from LBA at the moment.

This page should have been updated last week before the bus service changes happened???

The Live Arrivals for tommorow is showing OHY2611 due at 08.35. How can these errors be so regular at an `up and coming` "International" Airport?

The LBA website live arrivals and Departure boards have been doing this since Goldtrail went bust. What normally happens is that the listing gets removed after 8ish. Sometimes it can be later in the evening.

Hey by way `up and coming' "International Airport" You having a laugh are'nt you?..... 😆

The Airport 20/20 system that feeds the FIDS and internet feed is very out of date, the seasonal timetable cannot be altered to remove the flight from the whole season, they just have to wait for someone from ASU to manually remove the flight each morning.

This is no worse than the fact that the arrivals pages cannot even show the destination Olbia on a Saturday. Even now, it shows the flight number and 'blank' where the destination or point of origin should be. The system is archaic and needs to be brought up to current day standards. I have raised with the airport for years - long before Bridgepoint came on board - and although they acknowledge it to be a problem, nothing gets done about it, so obviously a low priority keeping customers up to date. As long as you know the flight number, you are OK!

Arrivals - Departures information.

I cannot for the life of me understand why the arrivals/departures board displays such information as
PUERTEVENTURA/PUERTO DEL ROSARIO . Who inputs this useless information, some kid who who once went there on holiday?
We also see Malta - Luqa. Hal Far closed 50 years ago so where else could the flight go.
Why does LBA always look amateurish when compared with other airports.
Can you imagine the departures board at LHR if this person was responsible.

Sorry Aviador, this was mean't to go onto the General Thread. I am unable to move it.

Re: Arrivals - Departures information.

I agree, Thomson departure this morning is blank, is the destination difficult to spell?

Re: Arrivals - Departures information.

The whole concept of the arrivals board is a disgrace. The airport need to do something about it. If we ever have a rare destination from LBA, take Jeddah for example, they seem not able to spell it and the area appears blank. Useless at its very best.

Re: Arrivals - Departures information.

People need to understand that the system is dramatically out of date and the airport will not pay to upgrade the Airport 20/20 system that feeds into the live web stream. ASU input the seasonal schedule into the Airport 20/20 system then handling agents change the input messages i.e. Boarding/Final Call etc.

Anyody who works in the Airport will see that the Airport 20/20 system always displays the correct name on the internal monitors, but the internet stream is handled by a third party, so for example if an airport is not recognised (JED - Jeddah, OLB - Olbia, BJV - Bodrum for example) the IT department have to contact the company that handle the internet stream to let them know that a new desitnation is being served and it needs adding to the list.
I pointed out that the Ryanair Venice Treviso appeared blank to start with and they changed it straight away, I also told them about Olbia and Bodrum peviously but nothing has being done. As for the 'FUERTEVENTURA/PUERTO DEL ROSARIO' that is displayed, the text is actually IATA standard for the system and needs a manual override to get rid of the Puerto Del Rosario bit.
I have nothing to do with LBIA company but it drives me mad as they know about this problem, but some of the people that work there need to gotten rid of! I suggest next time anyone passes the information desk tell them that Olbia, Bodrum and Jeddah do not appear on the boards, or preferably contact the IT department. I've given up trying.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
