The facebook page states it can take upto 48 hours to filter through and be visible to all. They also say it depends on your internet provider.

Thanks for the update, Just noticed it myself on facebook

Its working for me again. I did lose the new website and it reverted back to the normal old one for a couple off hours, But now it seems the new one is back up and running on my pc again for now!

That is weird. When I was at work yesterday, the old one was there, and when I got home, it was the new one. Surely the network you are on shouldn't make a difference?

Got it now.
I'm happy with the result and it's a million times better than the old one. With reference to one of my previous posts about websites acting as a company's shop window. The LBA shop is finally open.

Just had a look at the new website and it's very impressive, and one hell of an improvement. Well done to all involved!

Wasn't there a suggestion last week that when the website went live, it would be coming with a nice Christmas present too? No doubt we all assumed that was an announcement about new routes or airlines, but so far nothing! Perhaps we are all going to have to wait for Santa to fly in.

It was I who had previously mentioned a new brand quoting "[hi-lighty:1l289gwk]I am guessing[/hi-lighty:1l289gwk] that the launch of the new website will also be the launch of the new LBA brand". As I said, it was just a guess and I never said it was fact that this would be the case. The airport has used the same colour schemes within the new executive lounge as in the artist impressions for the new terminal development. Needless to say, I put two and two together and got four but when does anything ever make sense in this neck of the woods. Expect the unexpected seems to be the way of the game here.

The current brand was introduced when the Easterly terminal extension was opened, and the new logo at the time was put on the wall outside. Personally I still like the logo.

The new web site is certainly a big improvement on the old one and will be more appealing to the general public who after all use it for various reasons. My only disappointment with it so far is the fact that the Arrivals/Departures page is updated very quickly and so there is no "history" of what happened earlier. This is probably fine for the majority of users but I used to like checking back a few hours to see what got away on time, delays, arrival times etc but this is not possible now. Another thing: I liked to have the Multiflight web cam showing, but also access the Arr/deps board at the same time which in the old website was small and could be displayed 'above' the web cam picture meaning I could check what was coming in (times) and what was departing and then actually see it on the web cam. As the new Arr/dep page is full page I cannot do this anymore. Unless I am doing something wrong I tried clicking "latest news" and nothing happened. Apart from these disappointments I think it will be better appreciated by most of the users.

Just had a look on there and it certainly looks clearer, as in more clearly laid out, but is still very comprehensive with all the destinations and flight information easily available. This must be an improvement to the airports' marketing appeal. Now they just need to get on with the physical changes ...

The latest news is 21 October so they have got something wrong there.
There's bound to be glitches. Wait til it's been running for a couple of months and then assess it.

A big step in the right direction. The new website is far better! My only bug is that the arrivals/departures history is not extensive enough, departure and arrival listings for a period of 2-3 hours is not really helpful.

Too early yet also to spot any "unknown" destinations or other errors.

The logo for the Astraeus flight to Enontekio tomorrow just shows as
no-airline.gif

rather than

Astraeus.jpg

which is a shame. I hope they can get more airline logos uploaded into the system.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
