Until recently the BA flights from LBA were shown twice as their US Airways flight codes were also shown. That seems to have disappeared around the same time as the Thomson logo!

Received an email advising that Summer 2016 is on sale now from LBA. Having a quick look, not all the schedule is on sale and there is some minor reductions in frequencies compared to this year.

I'm guessing you're on about Jet2's summer 2016 schedule been partly released today, not the LBA website "Hull City Fan"?

I don't know of anyone else has noticed but we have a new airport logo rebranding the traditional red and blue "arrow" that has been used as far back as the 90's in marketing and the website. I would post an image but don't want to get in trouble with copyright so to describe it's a blue circle with a narrower "arrow"/paper airplane shape piercing through from South West to North East. Only a few weeks back I was thinking the logo should be updated as it felt a bit dated but to me the change resembles more of a mouse cursor than aviation related, though in retrospect comparing other airports it's good.

Thanks JakeS

The new logo looks good but it's a brave move by the airport authority when the airports old logo was already so well known.

Even braver to change the logo and not tell anyone or publicise it! There again it seems that LBA are reluctant to publicise anything now and rely totally on Twitter and Facebook!

Just a quick update, LBA now have Thomson's logo on their arrivals and departures!! HURRAYYYY

Looks a lot better!

However they are still using their BY flight code

Nice to see they have the Thomson logo now showing, hope the same can be said for when Bulkan Holidays Air restart operations in a couple of weeks time.

Also the flybe BE7005 service from Aberdeen at 18:05 still shows on the airports arrival boards even though its not operated since March. On another note why does the Eastern Airways T34719 service due in at 21:05 Monday to Friday evenings always show as been inbound from Southampton when it should be from Aberdeen?

Lastly a tendering process has started regarding replacing the airports old signage with the new corporate branding.

As I posted previously, I wrote to LBA regarding the website and specifically, the lack of a Thomson Logo, the axed Flybe flights to Aberdeen still being shown and the absence of any Press releases. I suggested that if they were not intending to issue press releases, or not show those they do issue, there was little point in having a press release section that was never updated as it gives a bad impression.

As mentioned by lbaspotter, it is nice to see LBA listening. The Thomson logo is now in place. All but one of the axed Flybe Aberdeen flights have been removed (as have the duplicated Southampton arrivals) - shame they didn't manage to remove all of them - and today, they have updated their press release section with no less than 9 press releases issued since January.

Balkan Holidays first flight to Bourgas departs this Saturday, however the LBA website is yet to have their logo on the website

I've just been looking at the Bristol Airport Magazine I do wish LBA would bring it's magazine back, even if it is only an on-line version linked to it's website.

The BRS airport magazine is a proper publication (hard copy) as well as being replicated on the airport website. I've got quite a few of the various magazines published by this airport over the past 25 years.

They start and last for a year or two before ending then resurrecting later under a different name. The current version, Your Airport, seems fairly permanent (as far as such things can be permanent).

All the diversions and cancelled flights must have broken the LBA website as its not working at the moment, well actually it hasn't for the past hour.

Sent them a twitter message but I get a feeling somebodies turned that off as well as they are not replying.

Working again about 30 mins later despite negative post on her.
Why don't you get behind your local airport and try to be more positive instead of the constant sniping I read on here.

Most posters on here would support the airport in any way possible ! Just difficult to see where it is heading at the moment.

hi all
many of the poster on here have worked for the airport, and airlines past and present supported the airport for many years, and worked hard to support the airport through the planing for the 24 hour planing application etc,i myself have a snipe at lba on here its time management got its finger out (as they say) and tried to sort out the runway cat3 problems on 32 for the 757 etc.to me the airport seems to be stood still whilst others move on and up.i like the post will the last one out turn the lights out it sums up my feelings towards the airport at the moment.and i have been behind the the airport for the last 30yrs. :bomb:

regards to all (snipers included)

Absolutely SNOWMAN 1

Bridgepoint have had ownership of LBA for the best part of a decade and I think as a group, we've given them an enormous amount of support and patience over that time. However, there is only some much patience anyone can have for an organisation that isn't progressing or moving. Fingers crossed for some good feedback from White Heather after her next visit to the Airport Consultative Committee in December.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
