Just watched you land on FR24, closely followed by the Ryanair from Faro and Wizz from Bucharest.

The LUFC flight to CWL has had its departure time put back to 1830 ,(estimated). Whether that's anything to do with the aircraft, or a delay in the Leeds club getting to the airport, who knows. You'd assume the Multiflight apron is now clear, and the weather at CWL looks ok with wind 220 at 10 knots.

Talking of wind, it hasn't materialised at LBA yet. Where's it gone? Is that delayed too?
They won't get long in the hotel bar then! Haha

LS406 appears to be diverting to STN. It departed around 4 hours late so it's going to be a very long night for those poor passenger.
So the divert is clearly nothing to do with LBA. Technical, Medical Emergency, or Operational. Anyone know? Is the flight terminating at STN or continuing to Leeds later? It's shown as Diverted on the LBA arrivals.

The diversion is down to the crew running out of hours. It was looking at making it back if they were able to make up enough time.

LBA is staying open until 01:00 tonight as there are no works. They can remain open longer if required.

Yes I thought they might be the case after posting. It's a shame though that there isn't some flexibility given they were less than 30 minutes from landing at Leeds. As there is none the passengers are in for one hell of a journey home.

Very strange this diversion, it was obviously planned a good few hours in advance. Only reason i can think of is crew running out of hours, but then it’s only another 30 mins to LBA. Also strange that is positioning back sonearly in the morning

Better to have the aircraft, crew and passengers back in the UK rather than stuck overnight.

Despite already being delayed leaving a few hours, a four hour flight time and then coaches back to Leeds taking another few hours, it still gets you back home quicker. Admittedly, I would be less than amused to get on a coach for a similar time to that of the flight I had just been on!

The fact it’s operating the 10.40 departure to Tenerife as LS243 would explain its early return to LBA.

Anyone know why this afternoons easyjet from Belfast took off from Belfast virtually on time flew over north Wales down to Leicester up to Leyburn and landed at 17:00?
Was it weather related?
Bad rain in Leeds city centre but a Ryanair landed on 14 16:10 on problem.
Just curious as to the diversion south. Were they thinking of diverting?
TIA

Around 4:15-5:00 there was what i can only describe as a biblical downpour with very strong winds just kicked up out of nowhere in Halifax. If it was coming from the west i guess it’s entirely possible it was avoiding a weather front?

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

If you’re tired of takeoffs, you’re tired of life.
49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
