Ryanair from Malaga and Alicante have Diverted to Man and Liverpool yet others have got in
Ryanair need 200m RVR for CAT3 - ATC informed them it had dropped to 175m when ALC was on very short final. The AGP wasn't going to hang around after already waiting for departures so they both diverted. WIZZ require 75m for CAT3 so no problem for them. The other two Ryanairs I guess landed with RVR above 200m

Does anyone know if the differing RVR requirement for CAT3 between Ryanair and Wizz is due to the aircraft’s capabilities or the airline’s own rules?

It's down to the aircraft usually, the Boeing 737-800 minum is 200m Cat3 at all airports, the new generation aircraft now tend to have lower minums.

not entirely correct. 737 in question can go to 175m at certain airports. Uk airports not included in that list

This mornings Aer Lingus to Belfast hasn't departed as yet! Must have gone tech on arrival. Subsequent BHD flight (lunch time) has been and gone!

Eastern keeping up the not so good work again tonight, with the Leeds United charter back from Exeter estimated to be 1 hrs 40 minutes late departing. It was due to arrive at Leeds 5 minutes after the 2 Excel 737, which departed 10 minutes ago.

The 2 Excel is just about to make its approach at 1845. It deserves a water Cannon salute on landing! The Eastern is now delayed until an estimated 1900 departure out of Exeter ( but actually was airborne at 1954 hrs).

not certain where you are getting that information from Heather? Exeter airport has an 1840 departure, LBA an 2017 arrival, flight appears to be on time, good work Eastern (y)

They've recently amended the departure time. Earlier it was showing delayed by 1hr 40 minutes.. They may have filed a new flight plan snd amended the times? The two aircraft were due into LBA within 5 minutes of each other. They're now an well over an hour apart.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
