Now landed at ManchesterLooks like this mornings jet two flight to Alicante has got a problem it’s been flying round in circles around the airport fall last 30 minutes after taking off from one for doing a big U-turn over our house
Very unusual for a KLM mainline aircraft to divert into Leeds. Ive been watching the NCL diverts and all seem to be going to MAN.KL961 AMS-NCL PH-BXC B738 due 2240
Not all. One Jet2 to LPL, Air France Hop to EDI, BA back to LHR . It's disappointing that no Jet2s diverted to LBA earlier.Very unusual for a KLM mainline aircraft to divert into Leeds. Ive been watching the NCL diverts and all seem to be going to MAN.
MAN dealing with own nightstopper and Teesside's.Very unusual for a KLM mainline aircraft to divert into Leeds. Ive been watching the NCL diverts and all seem to be going to MAN.
I assumed we had no room but then the KLM 737 diverted in, so we must have had the space after all. What is it about not diverting to LBA?

The KLM 737 didn't night stop as it would have at NCL. It positioned back to AMS, thereby vacating a stand.I assumed we had no room but then the KLM 737 diverted in, so we must have had the space after all.
LBA is much closer to MME and NCL than the other airports that took diversions so its all very strange.
And one Easyjet diverted back to BRS.
The aircraft has a technical fault on his instruments which stopped him being able do a Cat3 appraoch.Last nights inbound from Geneva diverted to Manchester. Everything else got in ok.
Great! I bet pax were told it was due to the weather and not a maintenance issue. The aircraft has a technical fault on his instruments which stopped him being able do a Cat3 appraoch.
Yet there were no visibility issues over where live in Cookridge, which is higher than LBA.Great! I bet pax were told it was due to the weather and not a maintenance issue.
That's over half a mile! Should be fine. Maybe insufficient fuel to risk a go around and divert had the weather/visibility deteriorated?According to flightradar24 it was showing as visibility of 700 metres, granted that was slightly later when I looked. Not sure if this would be a restricted landing?
