Like LBA4Ever and his Alicante flight I too was due back today on that FR2447 but I made a similar decision to book another flight on Tuesday for €23. With trains cancelled and trying to find a way back to Leeds it’s money well spent. AND as he said, it’s 22c here in Málaga too.

According to FR24 my original flight for today is now due to dep LBA for ALC at 22.25! No chance of that id say!

Not to worry, least i get an extra day in sunny spain.
Enjoy. I'm jealous.

Today's Easyjet Europe A320 from Paris CDG, which diverted to MAN at lunchtime, sat on the ground all afternoon before positioning to Leeds at tea time to pick up the outbound pax. It finally departed around 7.15pm.

Well done Easyjet!

Ryanair's 737 MAX also positioned back once the wind reduced.

Due to a disruptive passenger incident onboard, flight LS244 Tenerife South to Leeds Bradford has had to divert to Manchester Airport.

To complete your journey, we're in the process of arranging coach transfers to Leeds Bradford Airport. If you need more information, our team of Customer Helpers are happy to help.

Grief!

Another big bill to pay coupled with a lifetime ban, but, given the extra flying time from MAN to LBA is 10 minutes, it does seem rather odd to divert there leaving a plane load of better behaved pax having to be bussed back. The idiot passenger must have really been kicking off to result in a divert when only 10 minutes from the destination airport.

Exactly what I thought, seems a bit nuts.

Weather wasn’t great at LBA. We only saw the lights at around 80ft onto 14 a couple hours before.
I guess the crew thought if they end up carrying out a missed approach and then diverting, they are prolonging the issue. There was talk of a divert to Ireland somewhere but the wind wasn’t great there. Instead, it got a very direct and uncommon routing over northern Wales straight to Manchester.

Yeh funny how the airport gets blamed. In the days when Monarch was based at LBA the airport had the best on time performance. It's all down to the airlines but people make their choices when booking. Simple as that.
Lots of our cancelled flights were cancelled at the other end eg. At Belfast. So our flight is cancelled too. These surveys are just total nonsense.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
