I would be surprised if there wasn't a requirement for a 'pilot report' to be submitted to the CAA - so we might get to know eventually.

According to the FR24 trace it was in the air for 8hrs 18mins. from departure Bagby to landing at LBA. It did a leg from Full Sutton to Bagby of 39 mins. before that. Maximum endurance according to the manufacturers data is 8hrs 30 mins! Intriguing!
That's a long time without the loo 🚻

After doing some digging on the circumstances of the flight. The pilot was unable to see or activate the lights at Bagby and therefore diverted into Leeds.
Having trawled the internet, I believe they have runway edge lighting.

You may find this is a result of capacity restrictions at AMS, which go on for the next few months I believe, so probably nothing to do with T3/KL directly. More than LBA affected by this.

If however it is directly a T3/KL problem then I agree, it's a "farce".
It appears G-CMZI went tech, yesterday in Amsterdam. It's now not due out until ~2pm today, to operate a Manchester service. Also, this mornings early Am HUY departure is currently running 3:40 late.

If that’s correct how come if City Hopper are short of pilots they can drum up two of their own aircraft c/w crew at relatively short notice? It seems that Eastern have little flexibility when things go wrong and that more often than not KLC have to come to the rescue, which seems to make a mockery of the whole arrangement.

Travelled today in from Rome to AMS on a delayed 321N. Very nice aircraft but boy it didn’t like the wind sheer landing so we had a go around! Now waiting for the delayed afternoon LBA flight now yo be operated by KL Cityhopper. Interesting the majority of delayed on the board are Cityhopper UK destinations! Now 90 mins late as we speak.

Sun Express Boeing 737-800, TC-SNT has gone tech after arriving inbound from Antalya as SXS560 at 15;55.

I understand she got away at 08:42 this morning.

I hope it doesn’t happen again anytime soon, as I’ll be flying on it in 4 weeks time.

To continue the discussion from the spotters thread it’s not just the -300s that have their bad days so do the -800s. GGDFC had problems in Alicante yesterday making it hours late and I believe was meant to be the spare plane today but has gone tech again.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
