God Damn F*****g Knackered
It went tech on taxi out to the runway so went back to stand which delayed it.I notice Jet2 from Antalya didnt arrive until 05:30 today. Looks like it picked up a 4 hour delay at Leeds yesterday PM. Presumably declared tech after its arrival from its previous flight.
737 800 G-DRTX is busy again after doing yesterday's ALC rescue. Its due into LBA at 1805 this evening from Kalamata.
Lack of fuel at LBAJust out of interest, what's the story behind this stop off in Manchester on todays Ryanair Faro?
03 Jul 2025 Leeds (LBA) Manchester (MAN) (RYR2503) Landed 20:43
03 Jul 2025 Manchester (MAN) Faro (FAO) (RYR250A) Delayed 00:41
There's been stop offs for fuel on others too. Ryanair via EMA, another via STN and Jet2 via NCL. Its reported elsewhere the shortage is due to delayed tanker deliveries, although no idea why.Just out of interest, what's the story behind this stop off in Manchester on todays Ryanair Faro?

All fuel North sideDoes the airport supply all the fuel at the airport or do Jet2 'do their own thing?'
So the airlines buy the fuel and its delivered to them at LBA. The airports role is to store it and deliver to the aircraft? The airlines will contract directly with their chosen fuel supplier i.e Air BP, Essar, Harvest Energy etc. It is the fuel suppliers responsibility to then trunk fuel into the airport to meet the required uplifts whilst taking into consideration forecasts, tank ullages etc.
As has been stated elsewhere, a major supplier is currently not supplying.
In a nutshell, yes, but each airport is slightly different The tank farms are either run by the airport, by specialist 3rd companies like Swissport or by the the fuel companies themselves i.e MASHCo, GASHCo, HHOpCo as JV's. After that it is the role of the various "into plane" companies to get the fuel to the wingtip. So the airlines buy the fuel and its delivered to them at LBA. Ok, so in fact its an issue between the airline and their fuel supplier. Nothing to do with the airport. In a nutshell, yes, but each airport is slightly different The tank farms are either run by the airport, by specialist 3rd companies like Swissport or by the the fuel companies themselves i.e MASHCo, GASHCo, HHOpCo as JV's. The above doesn't cover Multiflight, as they will sell directly to the operator of the aircraft.
Hard to say, as I don't work with LBA. They could potentially have a tank(s) out of service due to routine inspection, a technical issue or product quality concerns meaning fuel is quarantined.Ok, so in fact its an issue between the airline and their fuel supplier. Nothing to do with the airport.
