Use this prefix for new threads for Birmingham Airport
Is this confirmed? How so confirmed?

Things can change quickly in aviation as we've found out with Jet2 and the LGW launch. I would take that with a pinch of salt - if Jet2 can squeeze enough slots of out LGW for an extra 1 or 2 aircraft believe me they will. To the sacrifice of BHX or GLA or EDI.

MAN needs those A321Neos due to the A330's not coming back at all next summer therefore the capacity replacement is required.

Visited Tallin 6/7 years ago the old town was very nice, the locals seemed friendly folk.

Our neighbours went to Tallinn last year and said how nice it was. Every year they go away with friends on a surprise trip - one couple books everything and the other couple has no idea where they are going until they turn up at the airport (although sometimes the required currency & clothing gives the game away). It’s a great idea as they have been to places - such as Tallinn - where they wouldn’t ever think of going.

Thanks both.

We were aiming to go this year but the last departure is Dec 21st and I didn't fancy coming back through FRA on Christmas Eve so we chose Vienna instead.

Did the Vienna Xmas markets a few years ago… absolutely stunning.

Looks like Saturdays are 17 based now.Looks like we’re 17 based all season as planned for 2027.

Few gaps left to fill

Jet2 are expecting at least 5/6 more deliveries from Airbus so more time to add more aircraft if they want

But Airbus's replacing 737s, just a net gain of 3 aircraft for S27

Also the A330 are supposed to be going from MAN and being replaced with A321s plus extra aircraft for Gatwick

There are 2 Boeing 737-300s to be retired at the end of S26 with the remaining 5 retired at the end of S27. That of course only affects LBA directly but indirectly affects elsewhere as they will be replaced with 800s displaced from other bases, so that is another contributing factor to the smaller overall net Jet2 fleet gain. It is also worth noting that some of the 2nd hand 800s are as old as the 300s so they will almost certainly start to be retired too before much longer again meaning the fleet doesn't grow by the same number as actual Airbus deliveries

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
