http://www.wymetro.com/BusTravel/BusStationsAndStops/LCBS is what you want. Scroll down to see a list of destinations and an 8-digit number next to each one. Click on the number next to 757 and a box pops up with the next buses from that stop (which is stand 15). Or use the journey planner to see the whole timetable for that service. At the side of the main page there's a list of other bus stations (Bradford etc.)

. Anyway, the reason for my posting is because while searching I came across this: http://www.airlinequality.com/Airports/ ... um/lba.htm it shows some varied opinions of LBIA, many of which from a passenger's perspective are not good ones. I think sometimes we see through some of our airport's inadequacies, because it is OUR local airport, and we're pretty proud of it. It seems from a wider perspective we've got a long way to go in order to please the masses.

I have say I am sceptical about these opionions. Often those with "bad" experiences want to write about it whilst those who have no problems tend to forget about it. I have seen reports about Edinburgh airport which are ridiculous and do not reflect the true situation. Many others, especially foreigners, are often quite impressed with the airport. Earlier this year we had an excellent experience with Ryanair from LBA to Palma, despite ash cloud problems so I wrote using the above website (Skytrax) to write about my good experience. It failed to be included so I tried again. No luck. A week or two later again. no luck. A month I tried again and still no inclusion. I have successfully submitted in the past, again about a good experience at LBA so I do not think it is my fault it is not included, but have the feeling that positive comments about Ryanair are not wanted. I may be wrong!

Just booked Ryanair LBA-Dublin for next month out Tues back Thurs - the outward flight is 6.30am. I've never flown from LBA that early before - does anyone know how packed it is at that time with regards to getting through security? I've never spent more than a few mins getting through security before but they were flights around 11am. I'm thinking of giving myself around 45 mins to get through security (no bags to check in) and be at the gate half hour before departure. I don't mind waiting in the departure lounge if I whizz through in a few mins but giving myself 45 mins is no good if the queues at that time of the morn are over an hour or so! Thanks.

When I went to DUB on a 6.15am dep at the end of July, I arrived at the airport at 5.20am and was sitting in the departure longe at 5.40am. I had already checked in on line so only had to go through Security.

i flew to mallorca last August on a Tuesday got there at about half 5, we had jet 2 plus so we had fast track security (i would recommend it to anyone if you can afford it!) but looking at the normal queue it was fairly big so i would say get there early , but enjoy your brake! :good:

It shouldn't take more than around 20 minutes to pass through security. I would say it's not worth paying extra for the security 'fast track' although it is worth looking at the queue as soon as you arrive at the airport. If it goes back into the check-in area then 'fast track' might be an option. The summer season is tapering off now anyway so I would say you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Thanks to everyone who's replied I guess 45 mins should be ok, added to the half hour I'm giving myself to wait to board. It was just that loadsa Jet2's depart in the morn and if each one has 100+ passengers aboard I thought the queues may be horrendous. Although, considering Heathrow, LAX, Chicago security has been a breeze I guess I shouldn't worry. Just hope the weather's nice!

Heathrow, LAX and Chicago probably have 10x or more capacity at the security check area which is why its a breeze!

Heard a rumour today concerning the airport taxis. It is being banded about within the taxi fraternity that the black and whites are coming back. That's all I know at this stage.

Which airline operates LBA-BRU and what is the equipment and frequency?

Many thanks.

Anyone noticed the new Manchester airport advertisement campaign popping up around yorkshire, there's one in ilkley, have LBA ever had a similar campaign over in Manchester?

Don't know if i have posted in the right place if I havnt sorry in advance!

Firstly, LocalYokel.

LBA-BRU is 3 x daily with a BMI ER135. No Saturday flights but 1 on Sunday afternoon.

Secondly jasond4 - not seen any but I guess MAN must be getting desparate.

Thanks Bigman.

The reason I asked is because elsewhere on forums4airports there is a suggestion that bmi is to expand its LBA presence into Germany.

On another forum there is speculation that the Bristol-Frankfurt (stopped last year having been operated by Eurowings for Lufthansa) will be re-commencing and that the carrier might be bmiRegional using ERJ-145s.

Currently bmiRegional operates the 3 x daily BRS-BRU on behalf of Brussels Airlines with ERJ-145s.

Putting the two rumours together (or is it more than a rumour in the case of LBA?) might suggest that bmiRegional is about to be used by its owner to link some UK regional airports with Germany.

therealways at it they advertise under the train biridge comining in to wakefeild (belle vue side) saying manchester to new york for only £... lol

Local Yokel.

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right about BRS-FRA. LBA-FRA no chance IMHO. Too close to the LH operation out of MAN.

Lots of fire crews and ambulances heading towards the airport right now. Anybody know what is happening if anything?

[textarea]Jet Fuel operator Q8Aviation secures new contract at Leeds Bradford

Q8Aviation, the largest importer of jet fuel in North West Europe, has added Leeds Bradford Airport to its portfolio of UK airports. It has already secured a share of the refuelling business of Jet2, the airport's leading airline.

Andrew Westmoreland, Managing Director of Q8Aviation, said: ‘We are delighted to start serving Leeds Bradford and to secure such a substantial contract at such an early stage. This move is part of our strategy of developing a strong network of regional airports across Europe and further afield, which presents great opportunities for further developing our business.’

In relation to the above, has the newly errected fuel tanks work, abeam stand 21, been completed yet? When will these be put into use?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
