I can't see them re-naming the airport but they could just name the terminal after someone if they wish. Not sure about any Johnson though,bad she had no connection with this area,being born in Hull & living in Bridlington.

They dropped International from the title some years back now. It's just plain old Leeds Bradford, and I agree that having named airports is daft.

Glad I did not put Sir Geoffrey forward as an airport name, Best may have loved the bottle, but he is still the greatest footballer I have seen in my life time, when Messi was 18 I thought he would be the best i had ever seen, great as he has become, he cant hold a candle to Best, excluding goal keeper, he was world class in every position.

As the new terminal is going to be one of the greenest on the planet, I would suggest naming it Gretta Thunburg Terminal. We could send a North Sea trawler across to pick her up and sail her back then she could use the Aire navigation canal to central Leeds where she can cycle the last 9 mile leg to the airport to open it.
