You got the nail on the head. A rant from the heart and without any filter. :ROFLMAO:
It's probably a better idea to refrain from posting your political ideoligy within the LBA forum. We have a current affairs part of the forum that's more suitable for that kind of political debate.

There is of course occasions when political reference is unavoidable, such as the debate about the terminal renewal

Bristol and Newcastle announced daily Lufthansa flights to Frankfurt from June. Hopefully once our terminal is built we will see them here?!

I wonder what easyjet did with them Leeds - Belfast Int'l slots they applied for last summer.

Dose anyone know if they still held onto them in reserve ?
Not sure on the status of the slots, however the easyJet schedule for the BFS base (7x based aircraft this summer and 5x next winter) is completely full when looking at a Monday for example.
Since we were made aware of these slots for BFS-LBA flights, easyJet shut their NCL and STN bases and reduced the number of based aircraft at LPL meaning that all of the flights which were operated from STN, NCL (and LPL) to BFS now have to be operated by BFS based aircraft.
Of course the schedule is likely to change, but there is currently no sign of EZY launching BFS-LBA at this time.

So, Leeds is to get the UK Infrastructure Bank. I wonder if that might act as an impetus for getting a London service back. I bet a London City service would prove useful for all the bankers, especially those that are sick and tired of Skype, Teams and Zoom meetings.

COVID-19 Testing now taking place at LBA.

Just seen an article saying that of all UK airports, LBA had the 2nd biggest drop in passengers in 2020, down 82%. Only London City ( surprisingly) fared worse. Another AMP airport, Luton, had the smallest reduction, but still 65%.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
