Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Sad news today that Jota Aviation, who are occasional visitors into LBA using their RJ85(G-JOTR) or RJ100 (G- JOTS) aircraft, usually transporting the likes of Arsenal or Spurs for matches at Elland Road., have ceased trading. These two aircraft, together with their three BAe146-200 freighters, have gone into storage at Cranfield in Bedfordshire pending lease by other operators.
It does mean that the sight of the RJ85/100 type and it's predecessor, the BAe146 will become very rare indeed. Perhaps the occasional horse freighter for York races but little else.

To all those living in Weetwood Ward and about to vote - it's hoped you won't be voting Green Party, since yet again the candidate is none other than Christopher b****y Foren, chief honcho at GALBA. A vote for him is a vote for GALBA and a vote against LBA and the jobs it generates.

Sadly he has yet to appear on my doorstep canvassing. I just can't wait for that day!!

I can’t see many voting for them. That’s if they have brains
Not everyone does though. There are plenty of students in the area who will vote his way. It's his 2nd attempt. I had hoped that defeat last time would result in him quietly doing one, but he's back again! Suspect his sole aim in running is to do all he can from within the council to obstruct the airport.

He’s a parasite. Definitely got no chance of my vote. But the problem I’m having is who to vote for as I trust non of them.
I am the same. My postal vote is still waiting for completion. Foren, no chance. Labour are all up close and personal with Sobel. Lib Dems did what they could to spread anti airport lies when the terminal application went in and opposed it. Tories - no idea who the bloke is. Not even a flyer through the door. Hardly an inspiring set of options.

Well Labour, Greens and Liberals are definitely out so that only leaves the Conservatives. Personally I would use this as an opportunity to phone the various campaign offices and get everything off your chest, make your views known!

We have the same lacklustre choices, here in Kirklees....so rather than not vote we are both voting for Sir Archibold Stanton Earl ` Heaton` of the Monster Raving Loony Party...The sad thing is he actually makes more sense than the rest of the cretins put together....and I`m serious!!

Sadly the candidates for the local ward, maybe different to mine, are a choice between Tory, and then a bunch of green communists.

I will vote Tory but I’ll be adding the caviat I don’t like their allegiance to the WEF, there destruction of our fundamental rights, and let’s not beat around the bush, there not governed by tories but quite frankly facist wannabes!

Well I hope he is pro LBA. Sadly we don't have a candidate for the Monster Raving Loony Party, although our Green Party candidate would be well suited.

The trouble is as I've always said. Leeds Labour Mp's are a waste of tax payers money, and our council has been controlled by Labour for the last 35 of the 42 years and for what good?

Compared to Manchester - decent mayor, decent Mp's who are able to balance the argument of climate and infrastructure, and clearly a decent council. Leeds lot go around in circles Manchester just get on with it.

That been said, Bradford's Labour Leader is a fantastic councillor when I've contacted her for something to do with my family. Couldn't praise her enough.

She may be good at local ward level but as leader of Bradford Council she is a disaster along with the non-resident CEO

And on a national level it dont seem to matter that half the country will be in fuel poverty or the fact we might be nuked by putin, all that seems to matter is partygate and Raynor crossing her legs!
Afraid to say im passed it with the lotta them, end of the day it was the coke head who wanted a public enquiry on our eco 21st century terminal and as for the rest dont get me started! Controlled by pale, vegan, scrawny, guardian reading snowflakes!

Apparently Putin is going Ballistic because he is going on a Cruise with his partner Miss Ile. I shouldn’t really be joking about this because current rhetoric is becoming worrying and tensions are escalating. And agree it puts the pathetic local political agenda well and truly in to perspective

Yes its not a good situation in ukraine at present, and the actions of the russian soldiers on Ukrainian women and children is truly appalling, it seems the world today is just as bad as a hundred years ago! The only difference now is that the weapons are far more deadly, worrying times!

Don't forget the evil Santa Klaus and his WEF penetration of all world governments. Hence a WEF made energy crises, a WEF made cost of living crisis, a WEF made foot shortage, WEF controlled media showing climate change propaganda, the WEF penetrating the worlds governments and other establishments, WEF governments (Canada, France, USA, UK to an extent, New Zealand, Australia). The WEF is the real cancer of the world. Ran by evil people for the benefit of them and their mates. All of who link back to someone who had a private island, with a private jet, and a black book to check off everyone who flew on private jet to private island.

Compared to Manchester - decent mayor,
I’m not much of a fan of him but he does seem quite supportive of the airport over there. Which is good. If only the useless WY mayor was as supportive of her local airport

It’s gonna be difficult to vote this year as I don’t want to vote for any of them. They don’t have much interest in the airport which is a big employer in the reigon and if they don’t care then why should I care about any of them?

My feeling exactly.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
