That's weird. It's just not there for me. Ah well. Hopefully it will re-appear for me when it's ready.
There are no thread specific viewing restrictions on the KLM thread. If you honestly can't view the thread I have no explanation. What is always worth a try is to clear your browser cookies. It works for most website anomalies.

Have you tried clicking the link in my original post above?
Yes, and I can open the KLM thread that way, or by doing a search, but it still doesn't appear on my list of threads. However - at the bottom of the list,.it says 'show ignored content', and if I click that,.the KLM thread re-appears. Trouble is, next time I open the forum,.it's gone again. I haven't ignored anything, clicked on nothing either, and can't find any reason for that one thread disappearing just for me. I have even liked the last post on there, which isn't ignoring the thread, but it's still absent.

Sorted it. No idea how, but the entire thread was being ignored, and I found how to un-ignore it. Success. Yay! Brilliant.

Armed Forces Day 2023

For those who fancy a trip to the coast and want to see some action in the sky I would recommend the National Armed Forces Day event at Scarborough which the year is on Saturday 24 June. The timings of these event have also been published and I will update this post when I find them again but for info the Red Arrows are scheduled for 1pm as they were last year.
Apologies: Initial date posted was 25 June.

24 June is correct date.

Copied to the Avgeek forum. It's not just people from Leeds who will be interested.

CORRECTION TO ARMED FORCED DAY POST.

Through no fault of my own the info about the programme for this Saturday's aerial activities at the Armed Forces Day were incorrect. When I said I would post again when I found the details that was my intention. I didn't find them as they had been removed because they were last year's details. My apologies to everyone.

Here is a link to the programme for the day this year, which after checking, I vouch is correct (but subject to change as always), but not as exciting in my view. It is still a day out however, https://www.scarborougharmedforcesday.co.uk/programme/

Following me contacting LBA in respect of advertising improved facilities, I have today received the following response;

You are correct that we are due to start terminal enhancements over the coming months. We will ensure this is communicated to passengers once the designs have been approved and work has started. As with any major project like this, we of course want everyone to know that we will be enhancing the Airport, but we have to ensure everything is finalised before we communicate this.

Given the plans are in the public domain its strange they are reluctant.

They aren't.

They don't know themselves....but no doubt WH will have all the answers that the people at LBA can't answer.
Seriously?
If you're descending to that level then perhaps I should keep the information to myself. I'm not wasting my time writing up information from the meetings to be the subject of your sarcasm.

I thought his comment was meant to mean you are insightful.

I think you should redact the above comment and appologie to White Heather @BCFC as it is potentially breaking the forum rules.

To further answer the question. The airport has basic images from the original planning application they could use prior to them agreeing on specific internal renders or design as mentioned. The basics of the building could be advertised. It looks like when they do show the public, they intend to show them more high quality CGI renders similar to the ones shown for check-in hall A.

I feel like people on the forum are becoming a bit hot-headed lately. I think it’s best we all calm down.

Heather, as the majority of the people on the forum will say, your posts are indeed invaluable and it would be a huge shame if you stopped reporting on the meetings. Remember, the majority of people on here enjoy your posts

BCFC, please be more sensitive when posting, WH puts a lot of effort into the reports and it is easy to see how comments like that can upset her

I understand that we are sick to death of the status quo, it’s been like this since years before I even knew this forum existed, but real change is about to happen, we must all be patient

It’s a sarcastic comment implying that WH knows more than the airport (at least I think it is, I’m not great with this stuff)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
