That is what I am lead to believe but we are talking Leeds City Council.

As the Flybe thread is now closed I will post here. And no I am not about to say BE MK3 is on its way. Don't know if anyone has seen that Air Serbia has terminated a lease agreement with Marathon Airlines following and incident at BEG with the leased E190, apparently hitting something on take off after using a shortened TORA. Anyway what I was going to say was could you imagine the field day the local rags would have had if similar had happened at LBA with the E175 BE had on lease at the time. And was even lucky (or unlucky) enough to fly on it too. Maybe the Marathon pilots just got their Snickers in a twist!

To be completely fair I totally agree - my/our flight on it was faultless. Not very busy mind and think the writing was definitely on the wall even by then

Remind me, since it was published ~6.5 yeas ago, how many 787, 777, A350's have actually landed at LBA? I think I know the answer btw.

As well as 777s, 787s and A380s pigs could also one day fly into LBA.

They have done for years as that was the affectionate name given to early versions of the 737

A380s operating from LBA! Which drug was he on at the time haha airlines will not entertain us with widebodies on our current runway end of! If the touchdown zones were moved it then should not be a problem for 787s, a330s and the like but until that happens, nada!

If the runway32 touchdown zone was left where it was pre 1984 they would be no issues, we all know that!
