Well as promised a report from the cemetery end and there is a tree mendous view from more of it however some still remains obstructed

Where are the obstructions?

The bottom end near the road is very clear. Still full height trees in the middle and still restricted towards the top.
Hoping there may still be more to be done

There has been zero information posted around Menston about this meeting - even the local community Facebook groups haven’t mention it! Is Vince going to be there? I thought he was in Saudi Arabia? Or was the YEP way behind and they're already back?

Why are they moaning about the departure route? I thought it was to be amended to a right turn off 32 at some point to make it easier for departures to Eastern Europe and to separate departures to Spain etc so they circle back over the airfield in the climb to prevent conflict with inbound traffic. Or was I dreaming that?

The airport notify local councillors and leave it up to them to publicise.

Thats a sensible approach just be rational. Normally he starts the meeting by saying attendees can give a 'personal statement' but that he wont enter into a debate or accept diatribes. Questions come at the end.

These meetings are intended to inform so my advice would be for one of you simply stop opposition rants as and when they occur by simply stating you and others are attending and to hear what the airport have to say and not the views of GALBA.

I cant be there on this occasion but Im very pleased some of you have made the effort.

Presume he is trying to drum up some support as part of the airports air space consultation stage…..Looks like NIMBYism to me at its best and I live in Me ston!

No you're not. Those are among proposals for the airspace change.

If they amend those take off routes they will not fly over my house when departing 32 and i'm not happy about that, keep them as they are. I already keep missing B.737 Max because they are too quiet

I would be disappointed also luckily I'm on flight path.
Maybe move into house for sale near flight path before someone from you know who buys it then complains and aircraft noise
