It departed at 17:45 Islamabad time which is 12:45 in the UK and according to the LBA arrivals board, it is due at 21.15

it's also showing as a 21:30 departure which is highly unlikely, you will be looking at a 22:30 departure earliest.

Does anyone know what the passenger loads of today's 14/03 PIA flight from Leeds - Islamabad are, PK776, or would anyone be able to obtain them if possible, i'm curious over today's flight and want to know the passenger figures if possible.

Thanks

LBA-ISB carried 29026 passengers in 2011, down 15.49% on the 2010 figure of 34347.
This is more than likely to do with the loss of the Monday flight, so, without personally knowing when the flights were 2 weekly and 3 weekly in 2010/2011, Im not sure whether load factors per flight are up. (maybe someone could do the sums).

In terms of the UK, this is where LBA-ISB sits:

MAN 175012
LHR 136015
BHX 102156
LBA 29026

Is that 12 in first class and 127 in Economy?

Sorry should have been more specific, its 12 business class passengers and 127 economy.

Well pia is late yet again, surprise, surprise, the airline is genuinly doing this on purpose now in my opinion and we all know the reason why.

I think you mean to say PIA are far from being a professional outfit which many people will agree.

You may not think i thought this through but i think i have.

I think PIA are doing this on purpose for a reason, to scrap the route, remember this time last year the airline wanted to pull the route and have everyone fly from Manchester, but luckily the lord mayor of Bradford managed to persuade the airline to stay, but if i remember correctly she mentioned something regarding the route not working they can pull, which is fair enough. Now the airline has promised to introduce the 777 into LBA, which personally i just see as a way of keeping the airport quiet for sometime. Sure the airport may be having work done to accommodate it but it doesn't guarantee the 777 will come to Leeds

Now recently flights have been starting to arrive late and take off late in the early hours of the morning in some cases, which to me out of the last four flights three have been late and i mean late with two being really late, today's included.

Now what i think the airline is trying to do is to push these flights back so that they are really late, now if this is the case and aircraft such as the A310 are taking off late in the night, who does it wake up the majority of time? the local residents surrounding and what do they do in majority of cases regarding the airport? complain to the Leeds City Council. So what does the council do? it has a moan at the airport and PIA and threatens them etc, now PIA could want this to happen so that they can turn around and say, there pulling the route due to the complaints from the council.

But that wouldn't be the only excuse for PIA, if the service is genuinely bad, EG due to really late arrivals and departures, it will make PAX think again about flying the route with PIA, which could result in the booking of seats for the route to drop and the airline saying the route is no longer viable to operate. Now with this they could be wanting the passenger to fly from MAN with them, but personally i think this would be them shooting themselves in the foot, because the service is bad etc, which will mean PAX will go with other airlines such as Emirates and fly via Dubai, which may take longer but offer a better service.

At the end of the day i don't have much faith in PIA they are known to change their mind quite frequently and with the fact they tried to pull the route before, doesn't necessarily mean they won't do it again.

But you have to look further than just the LBA route!

The delay could be blamed on the A310's reliability, they are getting old those machines!

The delays would also affect other services in the PIA network, i.e. the flight operated before and also after the ISB-LBA-ISB flight!

By what your saying, I'm taking it that your suggesting PIA's A310's are working fine on all other flights and then once the aircraft arrives in on-time into ISB, they purposely delay the next flight which is operating to LBA...?!

Some how I think that's not the case!

Another late arrival and another warning for Leeds I fear. The A310 is one of the loudest aircraft that operates from the airport and if PIA were at all serious about the route then they would have upgraded to B777 by now in order to reduce the noise levels.

Exactly they would have if they were serious about LBA but it not going to happen the route will go, they will be no 777 at leeds.

I'm not sure your aware of this fact, but Airlines do not like flying aircraft half empty... Hence no 777 yet. If PIA wanted to pull the route, they would have done so by now. :whiteflag:

Whens the eu going to ban them completley from any flying inside the european airspce? :diablo: :diablo:

On a serious note, it's about time this airline sorted it's self out. Most shocking performance ever. What i'd like to see is the A310 replaced with some discarded 767-300 that come off from america as the 787 start to take over. However i know this is PIA, PIA management and it's not exactly the most reliable airline in the world.

I'm expecting some pax to be doing MAN-middle east-ISB

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
