Taking pics? Got a nice zoom?

Keep trying Aroosh we'll get one for you eventually. We need a combination of being on time and you being on board so lets hope you're on time the next time your flying and one of us just might manage to get a photo for you. My camera has a 200mm lens which would have been OK to view the cockpit from the 14 end of the runway or from the Multiflight entrance but it would struggle to get close enough whilst you're on the ramp.

Sorry folks, the aircraft was severely delayed leaving KHI to ISB and further delayed in ISB. Managed to turn the airplane around in just about an hour but it was too dark.

Nice to meet you to EBC and hope to catch you guys in some nice evening sunlight, and on time next time.

PIA 775 Landed 6 minutes ahead of time.
PIA 776 departed a tiny bit late, but this would be due to a) pax b) 14 in use c) time of day as its FR's more or less 3rd bank of departure.

PIA775 early again I see. This is getting boring and depriving some of having the odd moan! Still an A310 though. Where is the 777?

Presume Aroosh not on board. Did anyone ever get a pic of him in the cockpit?

anyone get any pics from last saturday (14th) A310 AP-BEB arrival into LBA? I saw a nice group of photographers down by the 14 end on what was a lovely saturday afternoon.

I couldn't because I was working.

I'm setting myself a task now. I'm determined to get a photo for you now. You need to keep letting us know when you're flying to/from Leeds and I'll get a photo of you up at the 14 loop end. If I manage to get up there i'll pop the pictures into the LBA Gallery :good:

Have you seen White Heathers photos in the Aviation Nostalgia photos?

(subject to being available of course)

I honestly don't know what PIA have been doing lately! But today's PIA775 service from Islamabad which is been operated by Airbus A310, AP-BEU is running 25 mins early. Saturdays flight set the previous record as it was 20 mins early.

Well today PIA ternational Airlines

Well today PIA flight has just touched down and is heavy. The flight is fully loaded with mangoes and nearly full seat wise. 776 is to be the same with fridge freezers going out to Pakistan.

From an airline or boeing?

I would say they are been dry leased from either another Airline or from one of the many leasing companies. PIA have also agreed to buy 5x Boeing 737-800's from Jet Airways as replacements for there ageing Boeing 737-300 fleet.

Dont forget also they have 5x brand new built Boeing 777-300's on order due for delivery in 2015 from the US manufactur.

PK776 came off stand at 1810, and has now gone back onto the airbridge, or at least back to the same stand.

Medical or technical? Interesting.................

If it was, it isn't the first time that the A310 has had fuel leak problems whilst on the ground at LBA, although its a good while now since the last incident.

It was an issue with the engine, however to get into it the cowling has to be removed with a pump. Jet were used to assist in getting it off to look inside to which they later rectified.

PIA have agreed to lease 2 x 777-200s. I wonder if this a good omen for LBIA?

Just a little update regrading these 2x B777-200 that PIA are going to Dry Lease for 5 years starting from November after Hajj has finished.
I have just been told today that they will be ex Egypt Airlines, Boeing 777-266ER's, SU-GBX (C/n 32629) & SU-GBY (C/n 32630). Both Aircraft were built in 2001 and have Pratt & Whitney PW4090 Power Plants.

Meanwhile the PIA will start to receive it's 5 leased Boeing 737-800's from Jet Airways in December as replacements for there ageing Boeing 737-300 fleet.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
