The problem I see is that although TUI have given in to the likes of Jet2, that actually Jet2 are on a slippery slope as they have made their MAN operation huge and all we end up is a fleet of 737's.
Will this reduce further in favour of MAN, I think it might

It certainly will unless we get the new terminal approved. Without that we can look forward to stagnation in the short term, and decline in the longer term.

Standard summer programme, not that i'm complaining just stated, so therefore nothing changes.

I wonder if they'll take the ax to these! I know they offer TUI holidays to customers, but they are big cruising ports for TUI and TUI feed the cruises.

Are cruises going to be a thing in S21? Is there going to be market confidence in them?

TUi Holidays summer 2021 Tuesday & Saturday flights to/from Palma-Majorca are both currently shown being operated by "Other Carrier" (eg, Air Europa/Albarstar)

Tuesdays
PMI 10:35 - LBA 12:20 / LBA 13:50 - PMI 17:30
Saturdays
PMI 11:35 - LBA 13:20 / LBA 14:30 - PMI 18:10

Meanwhile it looks like TUi Airways will at least grace us with a token presence operating the weekly Friday Corfu flight using a Manchester based aircraft on w-leg.

Fridays
CFU 12:30 - LBA 14:00 / LBA 15:35 - CFU 21:00

Sadly nothing to shout about, and isto be expected.

1400-1535 - i guess you maybe correct. Peak Jet2 afternoon arrivals & departures. Though that been said, no more 757-200s, so could quite easily fit a 767 in to LBA. Would be brilliant to see the big girl back for one last Summer.

Never understood TUI, they could easily fill a 787 to PMI week in week out from LBA in my opinion. PMI market is enormous, yes they have to deal with the red Lion, and the blue/yellow, but if you get a good chunk of Cruise passengers & then add PMI holiday customers to it, surely it all adds up. Maybe i'm wrong. Maybe i'm just clueless. I do think though, pre covid anyway, a W patterned 767 to CFU and 76/78 to PMI x2 Weekly would work for the airline.

Its so puzzling why they just have the 3 flights a week, why do they even bother, I guess there is still profit to made out of operating just the 3 flights with other carriers. Its a bit like "we don't want to fly anything from LBA but we better do" It would be nice to see a 76/78 at LBA though as its going to be 737 800 central next year!

I know the aviation industry is taking a battering but cruise holidays are on their arse. If these are cruise holidays, I can't see any of them operating yet.

Marella Cruises normally base two ships at Palma port. One cruise begins on Tuesdays and the other on Saturdays.

One of their ships has been retired (due to Covid). Therefore, if the cruises go ahead, I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the Palma sailings dropped, which may apparently negate the need for one of the LBA flights (since they only appear to operate flights on cruise days).

As mentioned above, the Friday Corfu flight also corresponds with a Marella sailing.

These flights will almost certainly be operated by 737-800/MAX-8 (or equivalent size with other airlines).

TUi Holidays summer 2021 Friday Corfu & Saturday Palma flights are now currently shown being operated by TUI Airways. The Tuesday flight is still showing airline "Other Carrier" with flight no "TBA" (To be announced)

Tuesdays
PMI 10:35 - LBA 12:20 / LBA 13:50 - PMI 17:30
Fridays
TOM3551 = CFU 12:00 - LBA 13:30 / TOM3550 = LBA 14:30 - CFU 19:55
Saturdays
TOM3619 = PMI 12:05 - LBA 13:50 / TOM3618 = LBA 15:05 - PMI 18:45

Summer 2022 goes on sale next Thursday, November 5th. Not that I'm expecting anything good for LBA apart from there token presence.

TUI are now confirmed to be using there own metal on all 3+ weekly flights out of LBA this summer 2021 season as follows.

Tuesdays
TOM3259 = PMI 10:35 - LBA 12:20 / TOM3258 = LBA 13:50 - PMI 17:30
Fridays
TOM3551 = CFU 12:00 - LBA 13:30 / TOM3550 = LBA 14:30 - CFU 19:55
Saturdays
TOM3619 = PMI 12:20 - LBA 14:05 / TOM3618 = LBA 15:05 - PMI 18:45*
---------------------------------------- TOM3618 = LBA 16:15 - PMI 19:55 (May 1st only)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
