As on the TUI thread on here stating it looks like we unlikely to get any extra flights from them in 2026 the DSA lot will be claiming it's because they need all the spare aircraft TUI have to fly from Doncaster to all the exotic and European destinations they are claiming will operate once it reopens.
Not suggesting it wouldn't be welcome, but Tui are very much in the back seat with airlines like Jet2, Ryanair and easyjet making the biggest marks on the industry right now. Lets not forget, Tui signed a deal with Ryanair not too long ago so do we even need Tui Airways if Ryanair is working with them anyway?

Are Sun Express on sale for S26 yet? if not I presume TUI's AYT offering will not be on sale yet
Suspect the future is Or

Yes - 👍 suspect the future at LBA is Orange…..interestingly last week at a Travel trade event organised by the airport the key speaker was from EasyJet holidays….

Good to see that Ryanair and Easyjet flights show as part of Tui holidays. Whilst not the same as a Tui base, it does still fill Flights from LBA and does give greater options for people wanting package tours.
How many easyjet and Ryanair flights are utilised by Tui, does anyone know?

Not sure on the number, but Krakow, Marrakech, Bucharest are all destinations. All of the Greece and Spain routes for Ryanair and Easyjet show. So for the likes of PMI, there is a choices of them and Tui depending on the day. On the select flight option, the drop down brings them up with pricing and times, so this is useful.

For me this is helpful, as I use a particular hotel when I visit Malaga area, I can only book it via Tui as a package, and when I looked to use jet2 flight and hotel direct earlier this month, it was double the package price, so having an LBA option from April is really good.

TUI using Ryanair is good for both parties. However I'm going to say that it's a real shame that TUI couldn't grow in their own right with their own metal against the likes of Jet2, easyJet over having to use easyJet, Ryanair, etc.

(Growth - 737Max 8, A321Neos etc)

The issue I foresee in a few years is that easyJet will want the TUI package holiday seats for their own package holiday company therefore leaving TUI with the only option of Ryanair.

Also interesting that they are also wanting to get involved in the city options. Jet2 was on the game 6/7 years ago with its Jet2citybreaks.

If they can see a demand for their product then hopefully it'll lead them to establishing a base in the future.

The one thing that will let them down is the fleet growth which is more or less none existent.

TUI always seem to retreat in winter too and never seem to go for growth.

I really do want some competition and a base but they need someone who's serious about growing the UK division of their own product (airline).

....and they've nothing between the 737's and the 787's, in the past their 757's and, to an extent, 767's were pretty regular visitors. I don't know what they have on order but basically these days if they can't send in a 737 you'll get nothing.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
