She's in a Thomson livery with Thomson titles. Light blue tail and smile.

The B737-800 has positioned to Dublin this morning leaving our Palma passenger hi and dry by the look of it. Anyone know whats happened in Dublin or has the flight has bee combined ?

We were due an aircraft change. Didn't think Sunwing would do this. Seems they have been taking lessons from good old Thomson's afteral.

Boeing 737-800Wl, G-FDZW is due to position in at 16:00 from Manchester as TOM9021P

G-FDZW will go on to operate the delayed Palma flight later as its has now been rescheduled as follows.

LBA 17:15 PMI 20:55 = TOM3618 / PMI 21:55 LBA 23:40 = TOM3619

I haven’t got a clue what will operate the Rhodes tom3646/3647 charter later this afternoon though.

Won't this create a crewing issue as I'm sure the LBA crew can only operate on a c reg aircraft.

Looks like there might have been another change of plan by Thomson's as the TOM3618 pax heading out to Palma are been coached to Manchester by looks off things while the inbound TOM3619 due at 13:55 is showing a 22:30 Estimated time of arrival.

This afternoon's outbound TOM3646 service to Rhodes is now showing "Contact Check-in 21-22 while the inbound TOM3647 service due in at 01:30 is now just showing "Cancelled" most likely means been diverted to Manchester....

Looks like Thommo's are really messing there LBA pax about today. One off the reason's I would never use or trust them out of LBA. As we all know they have done this kind of trick in the past...

We now have a TOM9020P showing as due at 23:00 from Belfast Int'l while the TOM3618 to Palma is now showing 16:45 Delayed Estimated Departure. So I guess the Coaches that were due must be taking the pax away for something to eat instead of taking them to Manchester......

Thomson Boeing 737-800WL, G-FDZW will position back to Manchester as TOM9021P after it returns back from Palma on the delayed TOM3619 service.

Meanwhile Sunwing Airlines, (Thomson Leased) Boeing 737-800WL, C-FYLC will position into Leeds over night in the early hours as TOM1679F from Arrecife to become the based aircraft.

The coaches took pax to the Hilton in Bradford for food. Tonights Rhodes pax will be bussed from LBA to MAN at 0800 sunday morning.

I believe our Thomson based aircraft is in the TUI Fly / Sunwings livery and I believe it is yellow!

It looks like Thomsons have some more problems tonight according to the Lbia arrivals board. What a weekend for them and the passengers on the flights delayed or cancelled over the last two days.

Sorry got it wrong ! the aircraft arrived 15 mins late in the end. Earlier it was showing as contact a desk number so they must have sorted out whatever the problem was. Saturday was not a good day for them though.

I was onboard the TOM2618 LBA-PMI on 25/05 which encountered a 10 and a half hour delay. Whilst Thomson's looked after us very well, £10 each for breakfast and a short bus ride to Bradford to the Hilton for light refreshments of chips, sandwiches, crisps etc, somehow I feel that the long wait in the airport could have been avoided.

Before leaving for the airport at 03:30 I was aware of the 10 1/2 hour delay & have to ask why Thomson's didn't send an email/text advising passengers of this and to say we could come to the airport later on in the day to avoid sitting around??. Anyhow, we joined the very long queue for the Palma flight at desks A21-22 which was snaking up to the entrance of WHSmith at this point, to find out that they was not checking our bags in, just tagging them. This meant we was going to be lumbered with them until late afternoon, whilst staying land-side in LBA. This wasn't the case thank goodness as an announcement around half 9 for a bag drop immediately was welcomed by all.

A short delayed bus ride to Bradford was upon us at 12 noon & we was back at the airport for 2:30 to join the horrendously long queues at security. On arrival into the departure lounge our est dept was 16:45, shortly pushed back to 17:30. The aircraft arrived at 17:00 from MAN to be greeted by a loud cheer from the TOM pax in the airport and we departed at 17:59.

Full credit to Holly and Matt, the 2 reps representing TOM dealt with the situation & irate passengers very well and deserve full recognition for this. The captain onboard was brilliant, having a laugh and joke with us all in the cabin before departure.

The onboard sales was disastrous so I won't even go there. Yesterday's flight was much more smooth and an early arrival back into LBA was welcomed with open arms. Full credit to Connor the front member of cabin crew on yesterdays flight in the front of the aircraft, made flying a lot more fun!!.

Glad to hear that they treated you all well "Hull City Fan", not like the poor pax who were heading off to Rhodes in the afternoon. They had their flight cancelled and were coached over the M62 to be flown out of Manchester on Sunday morning instead losing a full days worth off holiday instead.

Quick question though!
Did you or any of the other passengers actually see the Leeds based Sunwing Boeing 737-800WL, C-FLZR depart empty leaving you all behind while you was in the airport terminal building last Saturday, And why didn’t they sub in another aircraft earlier instead of waiting all that time for G-FDZW to turn up?

If I was in your place, I know I would have gone absolutely mad and played hell with Thomson’s reps knowing what was going on. To me it was a sh*t trick and stinks! But it’s to be expected judging by Thomson's past history of LBA operations....

If I was in your place, I know I would have gone absolutely mad and played hell with Thomson’s reps knowing what was going on

But what would you have expected them poor guys to do about it?

Im presuming the 'reps' were actually servisair staff who wear the basic Thomson uniform as at other airports? They are on the ground to help pax through the terminal, and no amount of shouting and whinging at them will make the situation any better for anyone. They are not responsible for the decisions made higher up and it really irks me when I see passengers being un-needlessly rude and down right abusive to the ground staff, as advocated in your post.

Yes, people get annoyed by the situation, and yes its highly likely the situation could have been dealt with better, but come on lbaspotter, the guys on the ground are paid pittance and don't deserve to be had a go at by passengers like you suggested. Its the guys at the top who need to be made aware of your annoyance, not the guys at the bottom.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
