BRS-IBZ is done by a BRS based aircraft with a 1910 departure. One would assume the aircraft goes on a long sector that day before (PFO i would guess). Shame they cannot retime these flights and add new destinations or increased frequency. Surely they could make a HER or ACE work. And then maybe an extra RHO?

Suggest check Thomson hols website . there is a Wedsnesday 1910 departure AND a Thursday lunchtime service with times that match a W pattern from somewhere.

I understand that the tee side flights have been changed to operate into Newcastle instead. Clearly wanting to keep that capacity in the northeast.

So, it looks like we have found out where our aircraft is heading next Summer 2014 instead of MME. Tuesday, it has a trip up to Newcastle and Thursday has a trip to Bristol. Hope this helps.

Tuesday
LBA - PMI - 07:25 - 11:05 TOM3250
PMI - NCL - 12:15 - 14:05 TOM1205
NCL - PMI - 15:20 - 19:00 TOM1204
PMI - LBA - 20:15 - 22:00 TOM3251

Thursday
LBA - IBZ - 06:00 - 09:40 TOM3432
IBZ - BRS - 10:40 - 12:00 TOM6433
BRS - IBZ - 14:05 - 17:30 TOM6432
IBZ - LBA - 18:40 - 20:20 TOM3433

In the debate on parking, it was mentioned that TUI would be one the airlines who would take advantage of any additional parking. Yet in Summer 14 when they have effectively been turned away from MME, 2 slots became available on the LBA based aircraft and they have obviously chosen to look for other 'w' pattern opportunities instead of adding in 2 services from LBA. It's hardly an indication that they are keen to grow !

Well the Canadian Sunwing crews are going to love the long 250 mile taxi ride down or back up (M1, M42 and M5) from Bristol every Thursday. Not!

Newcastle isn't so bad as can be done in about an hour and half up the A1 on a good day

Like flogging a dead horse,Thomson's still pointed passengers towards Doncaster when Teesside announced they wouldn't be able to accept them. Leeds Bradford airport still seems to be a major bugbear for Thomson's for whatever reason?

hi ls16
I agree with your comments re thomsons at leeds for summer 2014 the 2 vacant slots would have been ideal for a alc and agp the latter would have saved me from going to Doncaster 3 times per year,to my mind thomsons will all ways play about with lba and never give us the routes lba deserve, and I think the only reason they are here now is they are worried about the growth of jet2 holidays (just my thoughts)

LBIA could build 50 new stands but NO airline would take advantage of this without being induced to do so. You make an airport attractive to operators and then you offer competitor busting deals. How can LBIA offer competitor busting deals to our based partner airlines when there is no space to efficiently grow? I look forward to santa bringing an accurate masterplan and hopefully it wont be the easter bunny. Growth will now suffer because of the owners short sighted infrastructure strategy.

LUFC Pete, I really think you should be offering your services to LBA management, as you clearly seem to know more about running an airport than they do. Somehow I knew what your post was going to say before I even read it! Yet again our owners are short sighted - despite the fact that they have just managed to grow LBA passenger numbers against a backdrop of industry shrinkage. You call this shortsighted. I call spending millions of pounds developing a terminal and aircraft parking before you actually know what the demand will be as commercial suicide. Why not wait for the Masterplan and see what's in it, rather than constantly telling us how hopeless Bridgepoint Capital are?

I was merely explaining to LS16 why TOM RYR and LS are expanding at other airports rather than LBIA. There is no money or space left. I will offer my services for free so that the owners can get some concrete. Crowded box from the 70s, higgledy piggledy add on fuel farm, no apron built, extendable bus shelter, no terminal extension and now the deals are stopped as we are at saturation point. Sorry if my truthfulness hurts a few feelings but even the council would have planned for the future years ago. Yes i'll wait (what choice do I have) for the masterplan (and then the actual work) while the growth rate will slow to a trickle next year.

Sorry for the thread deviation. Please delete/move as appropriate. ps why were my other two posts from 10/12 deleted?
regards LUFC PETE

Another well written acurate post deleted. If you disagree with what I say try to explain your point of view. Really detracts from an otherwise great forum.

Looks like Thomson have started releasing their Winter 14/15 flights and our TFS flight looks to have been moved to Saturday.
Times are
LBA - 13:45 TFS - 18:10
TFS - 08:15 LBA - 12:45

Hi Pete, in case you were wondering, I have not deleted your posts. I might not agree with you and your anti Bridgepoint viewpoint, but you are entitled to your view and I would never delete a post unless it is of an unacceptable nature.

LS16 deleted his post. There is no report to view so I have no way of knowing why it was deleted.

The one I deleted was libellous so it was deleted for his own protection and the protection of the forum. I emailed Pete immediately to explain. I don't know why 2 of his earlier ones disappeared but I assumed it was for the same reason.

So it would seem we only have the one flight per week again in winter 2014/5 ?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
