I will be extremely surprised if easyJet does cut back on overall flights in peak summer. With an additional based aircraft there ought to be more flights overall compared with summer 2016. In the past some routes have appeared to be going to be reduced in frequency but then increased. For example, there was going to be no easyJet Saturday Amsterdam flight initially either for summer 2016 or summer 2015 (I forget which) but it did appear in the booking system well before the season began and operated.
From the newspaper article linked in #468 it seems from the easyJet spokeswomen that more routes will be put in place for next year and frequencies increased on others.
Like many people, I have long recognised that it's a dangerous practice for any business to rely too much on one customer but easyJet has certainly revolutionised the scene at BRS over the past 15 years. No airline that can reasonably operate out of BRS can be discounted, but any lo-co coming in would want a slice of the sun market which is already heavily served by easyJet and Ryanair, not to mention the major charter operators.
Incidentally, I am continually surprised that easyJet does not re-introduce Milan Malpensa. They had decent loads a few years ago when going daily against Ryanair's daily Bergamo. With Ryanair's BGY now reduced to three a week, and bmi regional really operating a virtual in-house service to MXP for Augusta Westland or whatever it's called now, Malpensa seems an obvious one if new routes are to be introduced.
To answer the question in #456, easyJet has been used by some tour operators for a number of years. In the past four years I've flown to GVA twice with TUI Holidays in Montreux and Lucerne respectively, with easyJet the carrier from BRS.

I've been out of the country for the past month but have just checked the Bristol Post and an article of 15 November 2016 includes this:
Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK commercial manager told the Post that the company plans to expand upon its current raft of 60 routes out of Bristol Airport.
“There will be some announcements in the new year about new routes," she said. “But before then we will be launching our new Bristol to Turin route next month, catering for the ski season market."
